What the F*** is Seven's problem !!!

Correct me if i'm wrong, but for those of you who have seen Abyss previously.... Seven cut almost 3 minutes out of the episode tonight.

Not only did they cut the shots of Baal's knife going into O'Neills chest, I don't recall seeing the whole Acid torture scene

Now, please correct me if i'm wrong... and I don't think I am... How the download I have runs for 43 Minutes 33 seconds, and the one I just taped off TV ran for 40 Minutes 15 seconds !

I'm about to write one hell of a letter to Prime / Seven, and I suggest everyone does so.

I'm Furious !

you guys are gonna slap me...but this is my fourth or fith episode here in sydney...and i still have not seen an episode on channel 7 on a thursday night.
but man i would be ****ed off with them because of this.....i may ring them and complain anyway !
is it the final this week?
next week there is some john farnham special on @ 7:30 :evil:

You are definetly correct there, they did cut out a good portion of the torture scenes - obviously for the benefit of the timeslot, but I don't really think that the bits cut were overly graphic. I think they really stuffed it tonight - that acid bit was fairly essential to the main plot.

Please - GOD, tell me its not the final this week!

I noticed the cuts too but because I taped it at my in-laws' place I had to keep the outrage within limits. But I was well and truly ............... annoyed :evil: :evil: :evil: :evil: :evil:

I haven't had the chance to watch it yet (I saw it twice on the weekend and can't sit through it again). But Dad said that they didn't show the torture scenes.

You know why? It's the 19:30 timeslot. Because its on so early they cut half the violence out.

I'm very dissapointed in Channnel 7. I think I'll email them.

Oh, and before i forget (sorry for the double post), but why the hell do Channel 7 keep mixing up episodes for new weeks preview.

This week they had half the footage from The Other Guys mixed in with Shadow Play footage.

And the week before that they put pictures from Descent in with the Nightwalkers preview.

I think the answer to that is simple Shelbs... They have no friggin idea !!!

And have you noticed, since thay moved their web site to AOL, you can't find a single feedback email adress.. except for the aol website itself... all they give you is a postal address.

Were they getting sick of getting complaints ???? I would think YES !

im not sure why they mix the adverts up,
but i for 1 am proud of channel 7 (sydney at least) they have been showing sg-1 for the past 25 episodes with only 2 or 3 weeks break, i think this is an all time record, and im just wondering how far they plan to go with s6 this year, i was expecting repeats to kick in any time now, but maybe s6 will last for a few more weeks?

I know, I know. As soon as I posted that I went to the site and could not find their usual feedback stuff. You can't send them anything anymore. The bastards!

Yes, Josh, I agree with you about them having at good Gate run, I even think we may be lucky enough to get up to Prometheus, but there is no exucse for cutting eps.

I didnt realise this forum existed when i started this same discusion in the season 6 forum :dead:

Anyway, I emailed chan7 after watching the episode and noticing the missing scenes.
Got a reply today that basicly said the 7:30 timeslot is only for PG. They had to edit out the M content to be able to show it. Repeats will be unedited.

They'll start showing season 4 i would guess. And then later (im guessing 2004), season 6 will make the repeats.

I don't remember a summer where stargate repeats havnt been on.

actually, they may only show season 2 because the last repeats were season 1 (i remember cause i didnt have em on tape so i was happy that i could tape em).

So if we go on that, we may not get repeats of season 6 until......summer of 2006.
