2.11 Insurgence

Lex doesn't take it well when he discovers his father has him under electronic surveillance, and is using the info to undercut his business deals. He hires some crooks to bug his father's office but they decide to take Lionel and Martha hostage and break into the Luthercorp vault. But the vault contains green meteor ingots that Lionel has had made, the octagonal key to Clark's spaceship, and a confidential file on Clark. Lionel and (secretly) Lex start negotiating with the crooks when the latter finds out what his father has secretly horded, and the crooks decide to go with Lionel. Meanwhile, Clark leaps across from the Daily Planet building and starts taking out the thieves but is exposed to the kryptonite. Martha locks up the kryptonite and Lionel shoots the head crook, Pine. The Kents manage to destroy the file and Martha secretly pockets the key, leaving the audience to wonder if Lionel knows more than he's saying.

Meanwhile, Lana meets with her biological father Henry's wife who gives her some advice, and the Kents have problems over Martha's job with Lionel. Martha decides to stay with Lionel (with Jonathan's approval) to find out what Lionel knows.

Definately starting to see signs of Lex going down that dark old path now aint we. And Lionel - he's a cool customer, but did you see his face when he realised that the files were all over the floor - something like panic as he must have known that Martha was gonna see the file on Clark.

Old Lionel really has to know there is something different about Clark by now, thats at least twice he'd been in life threatening situations and Clark has been around when things come right.

You know I saw in a TV mag that they have this listed as a kids show ages 5 - 15 - !!!!!! should say ages 10 to 80 !!!

Little Stargate bonus tonight - we got that cutie Major Davis as a baddie - liked the little tight vest he was wearing, but what was with the blondie bits in the hair ! plus that cop girl, was the alternate Sam Carter in the Wormhole Extreme ep

Yeah but i think it's sweet that Lex still cares for the Kents. I think it's gonna be quite a while before he can turn on Clark.

As for Lionel though, he must know something, i mean it's not like him to say "who cares how he did it, he saved our lives." I think he just didn't ask any questions because he doesn't want to reveal anything to Lex. But he must be suspicious of Martha still wnating to work for him, she was showing signs of not wanting to do that even before the files on Clark were spilt all over the floor!

remember Lex is all about the fame (uping his father) and the money! Just think of how much he could make exposing or exploiting clark. lex is going to turn faster than you can say superman!!!

I have a question Why did Martha hide the piece of spaceship in the flour tin?????? Why not show it to Clark and Jonathan?? Is she scared of what might happen if the piece was joined to the ship???

annette :)

I was wondering that myself. Maybe she thinks that if Clark gets the spaceship working again then he'll leave.

I thought this was a good episode, lots of action. Clark's jump across the buildings was cool. I was sort of expecting his flying ability to come out in this one, but i guess they're saving that for the end.

Was it my imagination, or was Lionel totally hitting on Martha? On her anniversary as well!

I felt really sorry for Lex at the end - the Kents get to be one big happy family, whilst the only family Lex has is practically his enemy. I think this is definately a factor that will lead to Lex turning evil, because he resents Clark for having everything he wants for himself.

I think Clark is a little to big to fly away in that ship, remember he was found as a toddler

I think she hid it so Clark would stop searching for answers that would put him in danger with Lionel.

 ok, that was pretty silly of me! What i meant was, if he gets the spaceship working then he might figure out a way of getting home.

remember there is no more home, the planet blew up, he is the sole survivor of krypton! ;)

aw your right! they don't know his planet blew up until 3 more epi's!!!

but we as superman fans, comics, movies, lois & clark all know how and why he got here!;)
