Help!! Season 1 on R1 or R2

Hello

I have the pilot episode on Norvegian Vhs. But they never released more then the pilot on Vhs in Norway, so i bought the tapes from the UK. After watching the pilot again i realised that the UK vhs was missing all the nudity that was in the norvegian one.

Does anybody know if the R2 DVDs are cut????

Are the R1 DVDs also cut??

I can confirm that the region 2, "Volume 1" DVD is not cut, but is consequently rated 18 in the UK. Looking on Amazon this appears to be same for the combined series 1 box-set.

Note: they also cut out pretty much any scene with the larval symbiote, in the "family" VHS version.

I have the region 1 boxset (currently for sale on ebay - follow my link below if you are interested), and the region 2 volume one, and both are uncut.

I have R2 S1. Indeed, they are not cut. But I wouldn't say the bits that were cut out were much to write home about and I'd say not really worth replacing your current copies unless you intend to move over to DVD..

usually what's cut from children of the gods is the shau'ri full monty when she's possessed....you really don't miss much other than seeing the actress naked.

the other scene is the fabled jack/daniel beer scene. it does add something to the story. that's where you learn for sure that jack's separated/divorced, still grieves charlie. That scene is missed, imho, from the edited versions.

what the nudity does for the story is really debatable

I forgot the beer scene, I am sure I saw that on Sky one, at least once. Tabitha is right, the full frontal nudity wasn't really needed, it could have been a lot more dramatic without it..
