2.17: Canamar

from Trek Today
Upon leaving the Enolian homeworld in a shuttlepod, Archer and Tucker are mistakenly arrested and placed on a prisoner transport vessel bound for the penal colony Canamar. Before the error can be rectified, one of the alien inmates engineers a takeover of the transport, leading Archer to engage in a dangerous gambit.

Principal photography on 'Canamar' was separated into two blocks - a six-day stint before the holidays from December 13 to December 20, followed by an additional two days on January 6 & 7.

Mark Rolston: "Scott [Bakula] and I must have spent ten hours filming the fights. And let me tell you, both of us are in our 40s now so it's not quite as easy as it used to be.

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ.......

haven't we already had prizon stories? I take it the second half of Season 2 is turning out to be boring like the second half of Season 1? (I stopped watching half of S1 & only got back into Enterprise about the 2nd or 3rd ep of S2)

There was a prison camp full of Suliban in season 1. But actually, there were prison stories in TOS and TNG and lots in VOY. Seems that the writers like them. I just can't believe there is much more to add, to make them different. I'll wait and see.

hmmm, I just went to the TV times webpage to see which episode was on tonight (if new or not) read the review & thought...we've seen that before haven't we? & so I came over here to see what # episode it is & found out that I already asked a while ago if we'd seen this ep...just though it strange, don't mind me...so the jist is, yes it's new & yes I have to tape it tonight... tell you what I think tomorrow...

Fairly run of the mill episode.

I think it was more like 'Gambit' TNG than any of those prison stories, but it has definitely been done before better.

I guess that we are no longer on friendly terms with the Enolians after this ep?

Started watching - found I was way too easily distracted by the book I'd been reading earlier so picked it up and managed to read the book with half an eye on the TV and still followed what was going on. You're right, its been done before - liked the Norsican tho - dunno about you, but whenever I hear of a Norsican I think of the TNG Ep - Tapestry - now that was a good episode!

What was up with the guy next to Trip - those green dangling bits - I don't even want to go there...........
