As the question says- Who do you consider to be comic books most despicable criminal?

Perhaps The Claw? One of the longest running dastardly's of mythical origin and God of Hate for at least one tribe of Tibetans, he has given a huge range of Gold and Silver age Superheroes the run-around.

Or a little less sublime- the Hulk. Though he was never really bad, just not very good

Then there have been human badies, like Lex Luther, Superman's nemisis.

There are many others as well

Hmmm. That's a tough one, there are so many to choose from. I was always quite partial to the Batman stories in which R'as al Ghul (I have no idea how to spell that) showed up, but in terms of Batman villians, the Joker is certainly the most heinous. Evil is one thing, but evil and insane makes for a large amount of vile-ness!

Here's a few on my list.

Red Skull-He rejected nazism and belevies in the surivial of the fittest. Uses Choas to create a new world order.

Darkseid- more powerful than Superman. has an entire planet under his control. Often times their is no clear victor in his battles.

Bane-No matter what evil he does. All he sees himself as is the innocent boy born in prison.

No.1 is the Punisher. He does everything the same as those he hunts. yet he thinnks he's better. even is willing to kill innocents to acheives his goals.

That's all i have. I find the best villians are those who don't see themselves as evil.

It be the Joker for me, just because he has such a disregard for human life.

oh my this is a hard one, well i guess i would have to say Magneto, he has always struck me as the most evil, mostly cause of his beleifs about mutants over Humans:rolly2:

I think you have forgotten

I would have to say to any spider-man fans out there. That you have forgotten one of the worst of all time. That would be, you gussed it, Carnage. He is the most twisted, the most blood thirsty, and the most determined villian of all time. He has the worst reputaion for the killing the most people. He even dreamed of one day standing in front of a crowd and ripping out Venom and Spider-mans hearts. While the crowd cheers him on. But next i would have to say is Kaine. The dude is really out there.:dead:

Ummm.. I'm not entirely sure that this counts as a "super" villian, but I would have to say that the most vile villian of all time is Sauron from the Lord of the Rings. I mean, come on. How worse can you get without being Satan?

Don't think we count Sauron. He is not a comic book character, nor was he petty enough to be a criminal.

but wasn't it supervillian and not criminal?

I don't really know which one I consider worst. Hmm... it would probably have to be the Joker. His crimes are just so twisted and funny/ironic in that horrible way that makes him kinda real. I look at him and wonder if we aren't turning some of real kids into people like him.

oh u know who is also a really good super villian now that i think of it, Agent Smith from the Matrix:rolly2:

hmmmm yea he's a pretty good one but I would be afraid of someone like Mystique. She can be anyone around you!

what about magneto, there is metal almost everywhere in the world, he would be able to get to u almost everywhere u go:rolly2:

I still must say that cranage is the worst. A guy who enjoys killing and in mass number too. He is a blood thirsty killer.

Anyone who has read Alan Moore's Miracleman series will pick Johnny Bates. Imagine a true utter psycho with the power of superman. Now imagine this guy in London doing whatever he wants. The story was fantastic, the artwork disturbing. The guy slaughted thousands and levelled London. I think at one point he just walked along the street throwing cars and buses hundreds of feet into the air
.a piccy

and another

Ignorance alert! whats JTHM Silvercaladan?

By the way, if anyone really doesnt like that picture, pm me and i'll remove it. ;)

I don't think you should remove that picture, I mean you give people an option to click on it and didn't just paste it in there. Besides, I like it lol

JTHM is a comicbook, Johnny the Homicidal Maniac. Its pretty gory, but very philosophical and parts of it look very much like that picture, except on a smaller scale.

How about this, villians who should never be made into a comic.
I would have to say Jack the ripper. He was just sick. And the fact that he was nevr caught makes it even worse.

Didn't Jack the Ripper appear as a comic strip not so long ago? I think it was loosely presented as a Sherlock Holmes story.

That wouldnt br surprising, just think about the number of books, tv programs and films the weirdo has spawned.
