Rumoured to feature a Denobulan geologist who is looking for some method to eradicate the seismic anomalies which threaten to destabilise his world.

This episode told a little history of the Denobulan people. Phlox has to heal an Antarian(sp?) and has to deal with very old prejudices. Their two peoples were at war and some terrible things happened during the war that took place 300 years ago. Travis, Trip and Malcom have to rescue some Denobulan geologists from a planet that government has ordered all offworlders off the planet.
I thought this was a pretty good episode.
:blpaw:

I'm not sure if Sky One cut a little a the start, but it seemed very disjointed. Phlox recieved the letter from the Denobulans, then the music and titles came on, then they were packing the Shuttlepod for the trip, without any explanation.

Also, how is Mayweather the experienced spelunker? (He has spent most of his life on long-haul spaceflights) Wouldn't the product of Army officers (Reed) or an outdoor type like Tucker be more likely to been caving or mountaineering?

It seemed strange that the Antarean didn't know that there were Denobulans on the planet when the species hadn't met in three generations. Any one think that their war might begin again, and they both get wiped out (explaining why they are never seen again?)

Apart from that, I liked it. For once, both the primary and secondary stories were equally strong.

We also got a explanation for why Tribbles never took over the Galaxy, but we still don't know why Klingons hate them so much.

hmm, how come I haven't heard of this ep? maybe I missed it? or they skipped it in our line up? Anyone wanna gimmie a detailed summery:(

from STARTREK.COM

Enterprise is asked to evacuate a group of Denobulan geologists from a world that has been taken over by a militant faction, and since they are located deep underground, the effort requires some treacherous spelunking by the rescue team. Meanwhile Phlox faces a dilemma when another evacuee, an Antaran afflicted with a fatal dose of radiation, refuses to be treated by a Denobulan because of very old bad blood between the two races.

I know that's not very detailed, but the actual two stories were quite simple -- there was a lot of underground action with a rockfall and Mayweather breaking his leg -- and a lot of heartsearching by Phlox about his son who he no longer speaks with.

hmmm, still doesn't sound familiar, guess I missed it or our tv lineup missed it...oh well, doesn't sound too terable interesting, I'll catch it in re-runs I guess.
