I know that I wasn't at the convention but it looked like great fun,
especially the photos of the studio.
Actually being in front of the Stargate itself must have been GREAT!!!!!

Set

The set is truely unreal - it has such a *real* feel to it, right down to the wiring conduits on the hallsways and such. The gateroom is a bit smaller than it looks in filming [or maybe it was just the horde of folks with cameras... ] ,but it's just ... increadable.

No other word for it.

Gatecon 2003

I'll be there of course and can't wait to see any of you guys that are going too. I always meet a few people from the boards I go on and it's cool to put faces with names and get to know you guys. I know from my site lots of you know what I look like and other stuff about me but I don't know all of you so it's great to actually meet other fans and have fun.

The set is smaller than it looks on TV but is still huge compared to some I'm sure. It's actually 3 stories high and is incredibly complete in every detail. It amazed me how many people and cameras and stuff they get in there when they're filming and you never know they're there. It was a great experience to see it in action and see how well they all get along and the fun they have, everything they say is true, they are one big happy family, pets and all.

I'm really glad to share my photos of the con with everyone and you're the reason why I do it actually. I enjoy doing it and getting your feedback. It makes me happy to see how much you guys enjoy reminiscing with me. I go back over them every once in a while and still laugh at how crazy things get and how much fun we all have.

I love talking to people and answering questions and helping newbies with con info. Not that I am an expert but I get around.

Hi again, I will be sure to post all my pictures from Gatecon this year too. There's lots of changes on my site lately, having to get rid of some old stuff to put up the new but I'll always keep the Gatecon stuff up, no worries!!

I went to the Scifi con, A Fan Odyssey a few weeks ago and will have my pictures up as soon as I can afford to get them all developed. Used my new camera and can't wait to see what they look like. Michael was wonderful even though he was only there for a bit over 2 hours.

So, look for more news on that and I hope to see lots of you at Gatecon!!!!
