What did you think of the aliens and special effects?

When the show aired the budget was £1m per episode. Slomo (the robot) cost £50,000 to make. A police cruiser cost £200,000. Gerry Anderson said that:

“Every last pound is on the screen,†he said. “Despite the size of the budget, we have still had difficulty in bringing what we brought to the screen with the money available.â€

Yet when the show was broadcast it recieved a lot of criticism for looking... how can I put this... well... ****. Just wondered what everyone else thought. I personally think that the critics got to the stage where they were just being nasty for nasty's sake. I admit that some of the work with models is shockingly bad in places and the effects can be patchy. But on the whole I thought that the show was grand the way it was... the budget was well spent.

Another random little fact for you - one episode of Space Precinct cost four times what an episode of Thunderbirds did. Now, isn't your life enriched? :aliengray

I didn't think that word would get blanked... hmm, it was a nice mild little word too.:(

Well Space Precinct is very enriching!! This has gone all quiet so I'm trying to think of something interesting to right but am failing miserably!! um........

Nah me neither... we could just write a lot of **** to fill space till something hits us... that is to say a idea appears not that somene throws a cash register and manages a direct hit

LOL!

Hey howz the website goin? i looked the otherday and it said the rob youngblood one was nearly ready, anychance of a sneak preview?

Not quite yet, but when there is enough to sneaky peak you'll be on the list... Actually have Fresher's week at uni this week so I can't really find the time to work on it for a while. But have just got some news about Rob.

You may remember that I was in contact with him waaaaay back when he started at FOX 59. Well it turns out he resigned a few weeks ago and no one at the station knows where he is currently. In other news he recently got married though to who, where, exactly when or even where to send cruel and heartless letters to his new wife I don't know. When I do, you will though :D ;) :rolly2:

I've just had freshers week too. As I'm sure you've noticed by my group post that it is very very bad news *sniff* she's a very lucky person *sniff*

excuse me while I go off and cry..............

:crying: :crying: :crying:
