RDA's Father passing away?

I have read on several of the yahoo groups and on RDA's website by Kate that RDA's father has passed away? Does anyone know if this is true?

RDA's Father

It was mentioned in a Canadian newpaper article as the reason he was unable to attend a formal dinner in Vancouver. The article was titled "Diamond Ball: A touch of Hollywood" but I don't currently have the URL to link you to it.

The clip commenting on him said: "Missing was Richard Dean Anderson, who'd been expected but excused himself at the eleventh hour to attend his father Stuart's death near San Diego Saturday."

And that's all I know at this time.

My condolances go out to him at this time.
