Check out this ad of the Remake Opposition

Ronald D. Moore has tried to reach out

the fan base of TOS, his script united a divided Battlestar Galactica fandom against his God awful screenplay.

Battlestar Galactica Mini-Series script the original draft posted on the Sci-Fi Channel’s Bboard. http://battlestarfanclub.com/battlestar/bgarticle26.htm

Speaking of The Scifi Channel's bboard, it was flooded by a very few 'Star Trek Fanatics' with many handles. Ronald D. Moore disavowed em after the damage was done. The Scifi Channel’s Battlestar Galactica bboard and is one of three out of over a thousand forums that is now moderated.

Before Scifi moderated The Battlestar Galactica bboard it was in the top five in the number of posts, go figure?

DIOS MIO

Can´t you people say anything nice at all about a little something called EFFORT!!! All I see around me is all this negitivity about how this series is going to be remade. Sure it may start out crappy but most tv shows do and some of thoes end up to be really great. At least the thoes who are bringing back are doing so out of love for something that once was and want to see it again. HOw many shows will ever have that oppertunity? Instead of ****ing all over it and exclaiming how much it sucks why don´t you give it a chance? Its not going to be like the original series, but for someone to bring back a one season show that was made more than ten years ago shows something. I don´t quite know how to articulate the words for what it shows, but its something. How great is it to have a second chance at a show that was great and forgotten.

First of all, I respect your opinion. And I hope you like it and enjoy it. But the TOS fans also are entitled to their opinions. And I have to disagree with your statement, first of all BG hasn't been great and forgotten. Is that was the case I'm sure the powers that be wouldn't want to make a remake of it. Is it was forgotten how you explain the fans of it trying to make it return after 25 years. Definitely not forgotten. That is also the principal problem with the mini-series. They hear half of what the fans are asking for 25 years and decided to bring something totally against everything we the Tos fans wanted. Their version is a total lack of respect of the original. Is ok is a remake they could do whatever they want. So I will wait for another version, that also is my right as fan. That is why we don't accept it, so I hope you enjoy it but as a fan of the original I will continue to wait for the BG that we wanted, I only hope it doesn't take 25 years more to someone see what they really could do with it. After all, we are the ones that wanted to see it after 25 years, is it wasn't for us BG would be as you say great and forgotten.

Of course to the fans of the show it was not forgotten. But to the rest of thoes who watch tv it was. Plus I was getting agrivated that people were not saying anything positive about the thought of bringing it back.

You say it, for the others don't matter is this is good or bad, they simply see it and forget about it. The ones that wanted to see it are the ones left aside. We're not saying anything positive because what they're bringing back is not BG not in the true sense. You could called it a slap on the face to the fans.

I would admit that possibly I would give it a try is they change the name and make some mini series about space that don't have nothing to do with BG. Because the only thing BG in this mini-series is that they take the name of the original and the characters and make something new with it.

As I say I hope you and the others enjoy it but as fans of TOS we can't. So as a fan of BG I'm waiting for another proyect that respect the ones that love it. There are very nice rumors out there, I'm crossing fingers it become a reality on the long road. ;)
