What if The SGC knows the Goau'ld are coming in 5 years and they vote you for the defense of earthwhat would you do?

You can have any technology that you can beg/steal/borrow/get form allies or enemies
You Have Unlimited US/NATO Resources and alot of Russia/WARSAW Pact Resources And A Budget Of 16.3 Trillion
Set in season 7
At the Moment you only have 1 X-303

Ask questions And Post Responses :rolly2: :flash:

[There is an inherent problem for many users, since we haven't seen all of season 6, some, none of it, let alone any of season 7... but in that spirit....]

I'd get myself through the gate and hide!!!

Or, if that's not an option - I'd want to know how the Goa'uld were "coming"... implicitly by ship: if so, how many.

Perhaps rig the moon to blow up, or get that naquadah filled asteroid back and detonate that, using allied techology to build a shield around the Earth...

I'm slightly puzzled why they're only coming in five years - since four yeard ago they could get here in about 5 hours!!

Nevertheless if that's the case, we must surely consider pre-emptive strikes. Their feudal nature means they're unlikely to be sharing new shield technologies.... an all out strike by the X-301 and all our allies as simultaneously as we can manage: take down every single Goa'uld ship, starting with the most strongly armed.

Or, plan (B) we move planet... everybody. We make a new start on a fertile new world, then wait for the moment and detonate ours, wiping out the attacking fleet.

Err new rules...

You cannot muve an entire civilization

You cannot blow up planet

Once we start sending nukes through the asgard is going to think we arent better than the go'auld..

Yes we can, to both.
You've given us trillions of dollars and five years.

Or are you trying to get us to guess YOUR chosen strategy?

Go (by ship) to the remains of Tolana, and salvage what Ion cannons we can (the fact that they became useless to Anubis' new shields may mean that his forces had no reason to distroy them when his forces fained down on the planet). Get Carter and a team of specialists to make whatever repairs needed, and figure out a way to enhance their firepower by hooking em up to Naquida reacters or something. Place some on key positions on the Earth's surface, and place the rest on the surface of the moon.

Send out a qualified team, via Stargate or Asgard ship, to that planet the X-303 is stuck orbiting, and repair the hyperdrive. While at it, have the lil grey guys outfit the ship with Asgard shields and weapons, like they promised they would back in "Full Disclosure". Fly the ship back, but keep it on the outer edge of our solar system.

Have a compitent scientist create a new, super incripted version of Felger's anti-gate virus.

Attempt to work the kinks out of Naquadria, and use it to enhance a few land-to-air missles.

Mass produce as many X-302s as possible within a five year span...I really have no idea how long it takes to make one, but I'd imagion it would be easier once they have the method down pat (it was just experimental guess and check with the first one). The result will be a nice fleet of earth-gliders at best, and numerous squadrins at least.

Allow Teal'c to spend much of his time off world with Bratac and Ryac, rallying all rebel Jafa into one unified force, preferably at the alfa site. Have all the rebel Jafa stand by there, along with...say...six heavily armed SG teams. Standing orders: once the battle starts, a Tocra cargo ship shall act as a relay station for long range communication between the SGC and the alfa site (let's face it, the gate'll be occupied). As long as the SGC remains secure, the alfa site will recieve an "all's ok" message every 20 minuits. If they do not recieve a message, this is their signal to dial up the gate and storm the SGC, shooting every badguy in site.

Let the rest of SG-1 (possibly with Jonas and/or Jacob filling the Teal'c void) make the search for the lost city of the Ancients be their prime objective, and the focuse of all their missions untill it's found.

Add to all this the fact that we'll have the full force of the Asgard fleet at our side...and the Tokra...well...we know we can always count on Jacob in a cargo ship  ...
