This was posted on gateworld.com on June 7 , it's a little old news now but still current for this month.

I posted the link because theres way to much info to Cut/Paste here. If this does go ahead i will be disapointed in a way because i was looking forward to seeing the second startgate Movie which should have been out this year on the big screen and if Season 8 does go ahead does it mean that the movie will be pushed back another year ? or will they just not go ahead with it and jump straight into Atlantis..

I guess only time will tell.
 
sigh, i remmebr the original contract was only for 2 seasons
