Read on www.gateworld.net that the fifth season of Stargate SG-1 is expected early 2004. Now this is a rumor at this point (it was from "reliable sources deep within MGM"), but it would make sense becuase it is the same over-all time frame between Season 3 and 4 than it would be from 4 to 5. About 4 months. Season 5 had some really good eps, and some not so good ones. At any rate, I can't wait. I only hope I can get the cash for Seasons 4 and 5....

SPECS!!!

Stargate SG-1: Season 4:
-1.78:1 Anamorphic Widescreen Versions
-Dolby Digital 5.1
-Audio commentary on all 22 Episodes
-Secret Files of the SGC: Enhanced Visual Effects featurette
-Secret Files of the SGC: Alien Species: Friend & Foe featurette

(Thanks to Gateworld for the specs. Keep in mind they are not yet confirmed.)

Yeah, I saw this a few days ago. It's going to rule, I hope we get all the features they got in the UK, the Director's Series or Video Dairies or whatever. Plus, expect better video transfers. If the UK DVDs are any indication, the video quality gets better and better each season!

Only 3 and a half months to go!

MGM confirms the January 20th date, and also gave us specs!!!

Cast and crew commentary on every single episode
Photo Galleries
SG-1 Video Diary With Amanda Tapping ("Samantha Carter")
SG-1 Video Diary With Christopher Judge ("Teal'c")
SG-1 Video Diary With Michael Shanks ("Daniel Jackson")
"Inside the Tomb" featurette
"Dr. Daniel Jackson -- A Tribute" featurette
Widescreen anamorphic format (1.78:1)
Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound
The set comes with a suggested price of $69.96, and will also include a bonus on-pack DVD of the season premiere of MGM's apocalyptic series Jeremiah.

This rules, more features and a free dvd preview (I prolly won't like Jeremiah, but it'll be cool to have a free dvd of it), and it's still the same price!

PS: Is this more or less the same specs as the Season 5 DVDs in the UK?
