You know the guy who like lives to control the gate- the one who always says "incoming wormhole" - does he have a name? And does anyone know what Sergeant Davis' name is in real life?

'Master Sergeant Walter Davis' is played by actor Gary Jones, who is also a stand-up comedian.

Yes! And according to an interview with Gary Jones, neither of those was his "official" scripted name. But it's unclear whether that was before, during or after either "2001" or "Sentinel".
