The ****** Demise...(read the book before entering this thread.)

I'm still shocked over Sirius being the one to die!!!! At first I did this:

then I did this:

eek5.gif
and now I'm at the point of:
eek6.gif
by the time the third movie comes out I might be

Anyways I was so shocked that it was Sirius! I was expecting a friend of harrys to go and sirius was more of an uncle/father to him. All dumbley dore's fualt too. I could just strangle him! Siriusly! okay so maybe I'd just send him a howler but he should have told Harry the whole bit much sooner. Maybe things could have been prevented... I wonder where Rowling will take this new development in book six.

when i read it i did this :crying: it was sad! i thought it was gonna be Hagrid!

i predicted it:p, but i was hoping it was gonna be some one else to:(:rolly2:

plus the fact that it was an important character and creevey isn't important, Sirius was

actually colin was mentioned but only in passing, quite a few other charecters were also barely mentioned, i dont think i ever saw anything about madame hooch. oh well, i still wonder if Sirus will comes back as a ghost:rolly2:

he wont be a ghost... we know he wont.. he had nuthing to hold on to...

the fact that he died to save harry means he had something to hold on to

But didn't Sir Nicholas say that Sirius had moved on, so he couldn't come back as a ghost?

well how do we know that he didnt come back some where else. he wouldnt have to come back in the middle of england:rolly2:

Nearly headless Nick said that he himself knew nothing about "the secrets of death" because he chose instead to cling on to a "feeble imitation of life instead." He said that Sirius could not come back as a ghost because it is only those Wizards afraid of death who "leave an imprint of themselves upon the earth, to walk palely where their living selves once trod" who can.

Sirius was not afraid of dying, nor would he have time to leave an imprint, he was too busy defending himself from Bellatrix.

I did wonder about the Veil business though. He seemed to be still alive as he fell through the Veil. I'm not sure if Bellatrix actually killed him, or if he lost his balance and then fell through the Veil. If he was still alive, but fell through the Veil then there may be some way for him to return.

i dont think she killed him, i think tis more likely he just went behind the veil, u know u would think that if they had something like that in an open area they would have some spells or something that would stop people from falling through, i mean they are only common sense:rolly2:

Yup! They were in a locked room that was incredibly difficult to find with the moving doors, I don't see that as an open area.

I think we are going to hear more about the Veil in the next book. Luna Lovegood seems to know all about it, but Harry didn't really quiz her very much. I think he would have asked her more searching questions. Even though she seems 'Loony' she has been correct about everything else that she said.

I think Luna was neat. so what if she believes in things no one else does. That could be said about alot of peeps. and SHe's smarter than she sounds or she wouldn't be in Ravenclaw to begin with.

I hope we hear more about that veil thing in a later book. It will be interesting to find out exactly what that was. of course we know that in book five it meant the death of Sirius.

Ya but Harry had the mirror the whole time & thats going to be something pretty hard for him to forget. If he trusted Sirius & didn't think sirius was just bitter. He would have payed more attention when sirius gave it to him.:(

p.s. nice smilies A":D

yeah but u got to remember that in some ways Harry wasnt thinking to clearly in this book, he let anger drive him a lot. im not saying he did for this one instance, but he let his emotions get in the way a lot in the book:rolly2:

I was furious when someone spoiled it for me, but when I reach 1/2 way through the book I had a suspicion it was going to be that character anyway.

Personally that character wasn't really a favourite of mine, but what did you guys think of the way it happened?
I thought it was all really sudden.
I actually think the character will return in someway or another in future books since Harry never really got to say a proper goodbye.

i thought his death was a little rushed, actually i thought the whole ending was done to quickly:(:rolly2:
