What is the Legacy virus.

I read a lot of X-men and Spider-man novels. I keep hearing stuff in them about the Legacy virus. I was wondering what it was. I saw an X-men book with Legacy virus in the title, but it was the second issue in a triliogy, so I didn't buy it. Thanks for any input.

well, the legacy virus was like a whole series... so im just gonna tell you what it was... not what happened during the series.

basically, the legacy virus is an genetically engineered specific disease made by Stryfe which only targets mutants. There was no cure, though attempts were made to find one. and something happened, i think colossus' little sister died of it, so when a cure was found that required a mutant to die to distribute it, i think he took it. but i'm not entirely sure.

but anyways, it's a virus that's fatal to mutants.
