Stargate Returns July 31

Hey Gang,

Gateworld is reporting that season 6 of Stargate will be retuning to Australian screens on Thursday July 31 at 21:30. They will pick up from where they left off with Allegiance.

Check your local listings.

Fabulous news!!!!! I certainly hope it's back in my part of the woods, they made us wait long enough, didn't they??? In the meantime, though, the movie is on next Saturday night at 9pm .

I'm really happy about the later timeslot. The 7:30 one was killing me.... The amount of stuff they cut out of the episodes was appauling.

Especially the Baal / Jack torture scene... They cut half of it out.

Neith here confirming Darren's report - GOOD NEWS both the sydney morning herald and the local tv week listed SG1 Allegiance as showing on July 31 after Alias at 9:30 pm on Thursday Night

That's the Good News - the BAD news is that neither Channel Seven, TV Week or any other TV guides have given the return more than SMALL print and YET Alias got a double page spread in TV week so here's how to contact the following to complain about inadequate PR

Channel Seven who havnt even mentioned the return anywhere but have been running ads of Alias and if anyone should be doing PR ...

Yeah, I wrote to the other addresses too but only ever got half arsed replies from them. I'm glad it's coming back though and as you mention at a later timeslot. Now that's four days a week I have to get Dad to tape something for me while I'm at work. He's not going to be happy.

Maybe now that the show is coming back things will pick up around here a little bit.

More good news - Victoria is gonna get the Stargate movie this Saturday at around 9-9:30 ( I forget exactly when). Great news, 'cause my original copy is getting rather worn out

Yep... we need to get on the PR roundabout and get our TV and entertainment press to do features on SG-1... the more publicity for the show the better... After all, it's bloody huge in Europe, and now the US, and holds its own in primetime here. (when Ch. 7 actually screens it).

... Pity there isn't really a proper Aussie gate website with the fan support TV stations can take note of.

If you just mean a general Stargate site, then lets not forget that one of the most popular Stargate sites on the internet is an Australian site ! Built and owned by an aussie, with over 4 Million page views (which equates to about 15 million hits) per month.
