Starting today:
August 1st 2003, and through to December 31st 2003, you can log in to http://www.startrekguru.com/ and answer 10 multi-choice Star Trek questions to win the title "International Star Trek Guru 2003."
The bad news for American Trekkers, is that you can only compete if you live in one of eight countries: the United Kingdom, Germany, the Netherlands, Italy, Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Australia.
You also have to be 18 or older.
The questions are taken from all of the films and TV series of Star Trek.
There is no time limit to answering, and you can retrospectively go back and answer the previous weeks questions later. For that reason, the answers will not be revealed until the end of the quiz.
The first person to answer all 10 questions each week will win a prize, then there will be top winners in each country, and then a final winner who has conquered the world! (except for the USA and France and Japan and anywhere in America or Africa or Asia.....) Apparently, this ran last year (2002) in just the UK and Germany.
I've just answered the first weeks 10 questions. I'm hoping that they get a little harder, because those were like the kind of questions that you get on morning televison to entise you to call 0900 telephone numbers at £5.00 a minute.
