anyone know how much the final auction price of the tickets were? i'm harbouring a false hope that i can actually afford to place a bid..... :(

The auction hasn't completed yet, it will still run for another week and a bit.

At the moment, the minimum bid is still only $50. And just a reminder that you don't all pay what the highest person has bid. If you win a spot, you only pay what you bid.

Last year ...

Last year the lowest bid was around $200. I think the top bid was over $500, but I have no records.

apologies for that, I thought you meant the current one.

So anyone else from here going on the studio tour?

Does the money raised in the auction go to charity?

arg my friend placed a bid for me but when she went to do one for herself her computer crashed and the auction ended!! so it's just me on the trip feeling totally guilty the entire time...:(

Do those going on the set tour just miss some guest panels? we don't have to miss any autograph sessions or photo sessions do we? arg i hate being new!!!

i don't think so. I think we only miss a guest panel or two. It's early on sunday morning. So it looks like we'll miss Corin's second panel and probably a bit of Don, Jay and Peter's.

You are correct Shelbs... It will only be the panels that are missed. Nothing else

I'm going, yippy! I spent the last 7 minutes pressing refess & watched my fall from 67 to 116 but I got a spot! I believe the lowest bids were $151. I was only a few dollars more so I'm happy :D Anyone else going?

Don't feel too hugely terrible -- there are still chances for your friend to win a spot on the tour! Several 'spots' will pop up as 'prizes' and such during the con. I can't say where they'll be b/c things change from year to year - but just keep an eye out for them!

I have a theory about that. I reckon there will be 5 spots given away during the convention. They auctioned off 145, which isn't a nice number like 150 is. Plus, 150 divides nicely into 3 groups of 50 people-perfect number to rotate around the studio.
