it could be....

im just hypothesizing here, but ive got some ideas about the plot and conclusion of the Matrix Revolutions.

i think not as others think, as most of you know already.

but here goes.

i think the revolutions part of this trilogy will include the defeat of all agents, oracles, outcasts, achitects, etc.

the "administrative" abilities of those inside and outside the matrix (no mim theory belief here) will essentially be *temporarily* taken over by neo. the outside world (zion) will be revealed to the people of the matrix, and here's how (imho): you know the little pop-up ads that you see sometimes when you visit certain sites? well i think that neo will be plugged in to the matrix, but will "pop up" to each individual person, and reveal to them the truth of the matrix. the choice they make will determine whether or not to unplug that person. what neo does with those that dont believe , i dont know, nor can i dare to hypothesize.

this will result in a mass unplugging occurring at the same time that zion is fighting the machines. the reason i said *temporarily* beofre is because of this: when this mass unplugging occurs, the machines will not have sufficient power to power much of the matrix, nor the machines themselves. the machines will take over the administrative network nerve center and begin the siege. all the unplugged ones will be called to arms and begin the fight, etc. neo will not be killed in this confontation, but will live on with his real world powers. he disables the machines and regains the control of the matrix and from there, im 99% unsure of everything, so just , uh, um, well, ok, so the trilers dont necessarily agreee with me, but its just what i can gather form my scattered thoughts.

im back, but not really back in the permanent sense.

heya all.

Sounds all rather neat. But this series of films is never quite as expected.

I think Neo may well find he has to step in to take over the Matrix to stop it collapsing altogether and taking Zion with it.

I honestly don't know what will happen, and I like it that way. It's like Farscape. I think I can guess what may happen, but I also think the creators will still manage to surprise me. So I've just stopped guessing altogether. :D

But I can hardly wait to find out! Come on November 5th!

interesting hypothesis, i like it, also cheers time on to move faster towards the 5th of November:rolly2:

my theory:

the architect calls neo an anomoly that he (the system) can not figure out nor undo, but they get closer each time he steps through the source.

i believe neo will come to realization that it was he who designed the matrix, and programmed himself as "the one" that not even the system could decrypt.

neo created the matrix to save mankind from destroying themselves, but like all systems, it got a virus, and neo must restore the matrix to how he intended it to be.

i dont know, i could see that being a major twist. fighting against a system he designed, because he doesnt yet understand "why" he did what he did.

what do you think?

ä

edit: it also co-incides with what the oracle told him: "you've already made your choice (designing the matrix) you just need to understand why..."

Oooooooooh, I like it! :upto:

It's got great twists and still sounds veeeeerrrrrry plausible.

Come on, people! Poke holes in this one!

:naughty:

i dont know, im not that great at poking holes in things, but that is a good theory:D :rolly2:

i just thought of another point supporting my theory...its stated throughout the film that humans have "choice" and machines have only "purpose".

smith says neo took away his purpose, and that now he's taking away neo's "purpose" if neo is purpose and not choice, than that could prove that he did infact create the matrix, and embedded his digital self as "the one" with the sole purpose of stabilizing the whole thing.

i dunno...im gonna keep working on this.

ä

i think that when smith was saying he was onna take away neo's "purpose" he meant his "raison d'etre." "will to live" if you follow.

It struck me, watching Reloaded on video, that Matrix is basically the New Testament with extra effects. The end result will end with the sacrifice of Neo, but the recreatoin of a new order.

Considering the various sources of inspiration that the Brothers used, I don't think we can take Reloaded as that literal a comparison. There's just more to it than that. And the religion is only one aspect of the whole trilogy.

Love the imagry from the Revolutions trailer, though. ;)
