Yep - new season of Angel begins 1 October 2003 on the WB in the US --

I'm not sure when it starts to air elsewhere ---

(if someone knows - toss that info in...)

I'm looking forward to the new season ----- but - I'm a little apprehensive too --

for more speculation and info visit the Angel Season 5 thread!

Hi H2 thanks for that info. Am sooooooooooooooooo jealous that you always get to see Angel before us. Knowing the UK it will be at least January 2004 before we get to see it.

annette :(

yeah - but ya'll get to see 'em all together w/ no reruns or breaks -

and ya'll get 'em on DVD first ---

mmmm shiny DVDs!

And yeah, you guys get the first 10 or 15 shows way before us, but by the end of the season we have almost caught up!

Looking forward to the new season of Angel. I am a bit apprehensive about the direction it is going to be taking this year, although knowing Whedon will be around more makes me feel a little better about the whole thing.

I wonder what Sky One is going to air Angel with? Usually it airs right next to Buffy, but now no more Buffy!

"Dead Like Me" might be an interesting companion piece, although that would definitely need to go out way past the watershed I think, so maybe not.

What other genre things are new? Jake 2.0 maybe? Fearless has been pushed back to mid-season, so I doubt we'll get that over here until next year.

Well, here they're smacking Angel right behind Smallville, or is that Smallville right ahead of Angel, since Angel was there first?

So, do you get Smallville? They might do that...

but I really have no idea --

Honestly - there doesn't look to be that much of interest jumping onto the networks' new line-ups.

There's the JAG spin-off-ish show - Navy NCIS; and this new show w/ James Denton (formerly of "The Pretender" - oh, and Philly (or something like that) too) -- that I can't recall the name of, but I'm kinda upset b/c it's gonna be on ABC, and I hate ABC - don't watch that network anymore - total boycott - they angered me a while back -- but anyway --

Dunno - I'll just watch Angel and not worry about the other stuff...

Smallville airs on a different station over here. It is going to be weird though, because ever since Angel started it has always aired with Buffy.

I am going to start harassing Sky One about picking up Dead Like Me, I think.

I don't think Jag is very big over here, to be honest. I couldn't even tell you what station shows it. I just hope something vaguely in the same vein gets aired with Angel.
Sky One's other genre shows are Enterprise, Andromeda, Mutant X, SG1 - none of which are very Angel-y. Here's hoping they pick up something new from the US!

They might even re-run Buffy season 7, although they're showing the whole BtVS series right now (don't know whether they're showing S7 too as i haven't been able to watch?). What about Alias, that's becoming more popular over here, it's not really Angel-y either though...

Are they still showing Stargate on the Wednesday? They might change that to the Thursday? Guess we'll see :)

Is anyone but me even watching S5??

I cannot be the *ONLY* person on this whole site watching Angel S5!! :)

Come out come out wherever you are!!

I know you're here!! Yeah - all you who live in the US or those of you who have 'alternate' means of viewing the episodes - get over here and post! This section should NOT be dead 3 episodes into a new season!!

:)

awe thats not good that no-one else is posting in Angel season 5. i would if i could H2. :crying:

annette :p

My "alternate means" for this week is being slow ;)...but once i've seen it i do try to pop in and leave a quick note :D

I'm def avoiding the S5 forum at the moment! Without any spoilers hows the new season going HII?? Enjoying it so far?

So far - S5 is pretty good --

and DEFINITELY stay as spoiler free as possible to watch it! It's *so* much better that way -- even the mediocre eps are better if you don't know what's gonna happen -

Yep, I'm spoiler free so far, but Sky haven't started with the adverts yet!

I am dying ot know how you-know-who turns up, and how he fits in....

I'll just say - it was done well --- but this *is* Joss we're talkin' about here -- ;)

good, I'm sure he got something interesting to introduce him, I don't think Joss would do a repeat of Angel coming back in S3 Buffy, or Spike in early S7 Buffy...

LOL Maria. I have started a thread concerning the date of Angel being shown here in the UK, but always good to see it advertised in another thread.

annette :D
