A personal announcement

Dear Battlestar fans,

http://www.cylon.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=241&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0

After a long discussion with my wife, I have decided to transfer the website and the forum to a brand new owner. In the coming weeks, the forum and website domain will reflect the change. The latest incident with JJRAKMAN has proven to me that this is just not worth it. My family doesn't need me involved in lawsuits with the Galactica fandom or vice versa. I want to give this up and walk away. I will not pursue any legal action with JJRAKMAN. I hope that the warning from Yahoo and his ISP is enough for him to cease. I don't want to fight any of you and nor do I desire the continued verbal assualts filled with outright lies and half truths on other forums.

Now I know you want to know why I really created the several handles so let me try my best to say why I did so. However the handle that threatened muffit and all the ones that talked about people's sexual preferences or sexual experiences with Sci Fi employees were not mine. I was never the many different names of RGRANT, Nueromanzr, Stallion_Cornell, etc. The initial idea behind the clone handles was to create a fictional army and a fictional leader to lead them so the Galactica fans would unite against what I thought initially was a poor version of Galactica. I had hope that unity would actually create a real letter campaign and a real push for revival. No actual letters from the fake fans were actually sent. However, once I actually read the script and saw it wasn't as bad as some fans said, I changed my mind about it. Regarding the FBI agent, I never said I was an FBI Agent but I did threaten Summoner that one was working on it. The only reason Sandy was in the loop was I thought initially that Sandy and Summoner were in cahoots. Anyways, to make a long story short, Summoner ended being some guy in Kansas who I never knew previous to the Internet Exchange. Later he returned as Adjudicator and it was only through Sandy did I learn that Adjudicator was Summoner. However I never knew Summoner prior to the Galactica debate.

I hope you will treat the new owner with respect and will not carry any ill will towards this individual. When things are more finalized you will see the new name of the owner on the website announced in the News Section and the Forum. The new owner is not part of the existing Galactica Old Guard but however the new owner already owns a reputable website.

Sincerely,

Ted Gorospe aka Apothis/Treklord/Milton/Jedi Knight/scifiman76 & many more.

I am not sure what the above post had to do with a Cast poster thread, so I pruned it off.

My last post about the Apothis

Apothis was banned by The Scifi Channel and as repudiated by Ron Moore producer and screenwriter on the new Battlestar Galactica. He started a board of his own.

Someone went to the trouble of checking Ted Gorospe. Threats of lawsuits abounded, then poof, Apothis bids adieu, go figure.

And exactly why is this relevant to a thread about cast posters?

Or this forum in general?

If this member has decided to quit a website it is hardly new and exciting news in the world of Battlestar Galactica.

Translation

Battlestar Galactica Bulletin Board has new owners and administrators.

The board is still active and focuses on the antics of the new mini-series.

I wish all parties involved success and fortune.

Thanks to DVO for correcting the link
