lo,
i have read a lot space operas so far and i really need a change.
so i thought about getting into battletech with those nice mechs :)
i already read a book with short novels by stehpen kenson, blaine lee pardoe and mel odom
those were rather simply put but still enjoyable
i seem to like those clans a lot more than the inner sphere or pirate forces, clans apear to be very elite and honour driven :)
well to get to my point ...i´d like to read more battletech stuff and preferable stories around the clans, so which are good books to start with ? any recommendations on good BT books ?

thx guys

Can't help with Battle Tech, but may I suggest something simillar in the shape of Doc EE Smith's classic Lensman books

I could never get interested in the Lensmen series, so I wouldn't recommend them.

There are some Battletech books available at Amazon here:

Battletech is based around a customisable card game and an animated TV series, so it sounds similar to Anime like Gundam -- there is a forum at ASciFi. Gundam

Warhammer 40K sounds similar also.

If you like space opera, read this thread Space Opera

I would also recommend reading Iain M Banks.
