Though Olmos has been kicking about for a long time.

Mary McDonnell has been in lots of stuff - most notably for scifi fans in "Independence Day" as the President's wife. And she is also great as the Mother in Donnie Darko.
I think she actually plays the/a President in BSG.

Olmos has been kicking around for ages, but I think big scifi reference for him would be Bladerunner.

Jamie Bamber's name is familiar - I think he is a Brit.

Barber is indeed British. American TV viewers might remember him as Lt. Kennedy on A & E's Hornblower series, based on C. S. Forester's novels, soon to be eclipesed by the late Patrick O'Brian's novel adapted for the silver screen, 'Master and Commander', starring Russell Crowe

From all the cast I supposed the most famous is Olmos. The other actor I know for the cast is James Callis the one that will play Baltar. I only have seen him in one job, the mini series Helen of Troy from USA. But he really did a great interpretation in it.

It'll be nice to see a new show with a slew of unknowns. I get weary sometimes when all the same people seem to show up on all scifi, comedy and drama shows.
