I only just found out that theres a Stargate comic book series coming out, for those who don't know you can take a look here - http://www.avatarpress.com/stargate/

The art work doesn't look bad at all. Although in there big picture Daniel Jackson looks a bit like Harry Potter :p
 
Actually I looked at the preview and I flipped through it in
the store and I don't like the look of things.

The art tries to capture the actors in a sudo-realistic form.
The dialog is sparse.

And in general . .

Why make a comic this late in the series?
There is so much continuity to worry about and
explain or avoide situations which require explanation.

Why make it about SG1? Why not make it about some
other group, so that we don't have expectations like
'so and so would never say that' or 'that character doesn't
look right'.

I think doing this comic this way is a mistake.
 
Does any one have any other thoughts on this?

I didn't read it myself so I'm wondering what someone
that read it thinks.
