ok, well after watching those trailers frame by frome backwards and forwards, i have some detailed (or so i think) plot lines that can be inferred.

ahem

well i have divided these humble musings into several parts.

PART 1
based on the theatrical trailer, there are several things id like to notice about the "big giant head" (oops, thats 3rd rock...) he says: "if you fail...".

well this machine in this particualr statement can forward to us the idea that the machines know they either a) can be wrong in their initial assumptions/(conclusions in the case of the Architect), or b) just have no idea of the future (which is contrary to the Architect's speech--but again, the architect is supposedly "unique"... humbug)

PART 2
in the same trailer (the very next cut scene in fact) we see agent smith telling someone--someone very special ill get to in a moment--that "Im not so bad once you get to know me"

well i think smith is drawing on his copy/paste abilities to infer that that special someone will become one of him soon enough, and then that special someone wont really matter, because smith will have taken over.

i also think that the special someone is the Oracle. now, ill expand on this in the next part.

PART 5 "three, sir"
*dagnabbit*

PART 3
Neo is taken to a place between the matrix and the real world.
the sign says "Mobil Ave" for those that are interested in the specifics, and the cheats codes.

how, though, is a little far fetched-- i think the big giant head did it.

but then 2 very very important things happen: remember the "traveller" from the ETM game? well we see him punching Neo into the wall!!!

imagine!!

also we see Mero trying to get suc--- i mean er, trying to get the "eyes of the oracle" which can be anything form the blind dude in the first episode, to Seraph everyones favourite dood.

PART 4
Bane "the past flesh, your enemy"
Neo "its impossible!"
Bane "it was inevitable"

Bane awakened.

but one thing in particular crosses my mind: neo gets to see bane in a kind of smokey yellowish colour similar (from what i remember) to seraph's code, and to the next scene where the big giant head wraps neo in some kind of yellowy tentacles or something.

Neo sees in yellowy while outside the matrix??

well im still not convinced of the M-I-M theory. think what you will, but my thinkings are that the big giant head is still part of Neo. so he still sees in that yellowy shade.

humbug

PART 5
someone jumps accross the landing pads of the train. the train says "loop"

nothin much.

PART 6
close to the end of the trailer now, there is one thing id like to consider: neo wears a blindfold when the big giant head puts him... someplace. but you can see neo with bloodstains on his eyebrows, and on his lips.

is he blind? is he hurt severely?
is this from the beginning of the film (i think not)? if not, who injured him? im'a smack him! er, i mean, :)

PART 7
the strange code!
well not exactly strange... just odd to see a dude about to explode like smithy did in the first episode, and then three other agent-like dudes around him.

dont know what to make of that scene.

qwestions comments complaints?

whats this big giant head u speak of:(? i am lost i never saw a big head:rolly2:

the big giant head is the machine that neo goes to, to say "the program smith has grown beyond your control... etc"

the big giant head speaks in a very very deep tone.

Okay, Spud, I have to assume that you're talking about the "theatrical trailer" and not one of the TV spots, right?

I think the "yellow code" you're talking about looks more like flame. CG flame, but flame. The fact that at one point the "flame" looks like it turns into Smith is highly symbolic that, as I thought, while both Neo and Smith are battling for control of the Matrix, Neo is the only god (if he wins) while Smith is clearly the devil. The "yellow code" hitting Neo looks like a weapon. It could be something else that the "big giant head" is using to enhance Neo's abilities or something, but it just doesn't look like it.

And I think Neo already IS between worlds. I think the film will begin with Trinity asking the Oracle what happened to Neo (refering to his mind, since his body is on board the Hammer with her, but in an inexplicable coma) and getting the answer "between worlds." I'm more interested in who the little girl is with him. Now, how'd he get there? I think that's where his mind is now, in his coma. Which would partially explain how this could be:
remember the "traveller" from the ETM game? well we see him punching Neo into the wall!!!
And that takes place at Mobile Avenue... between worlds. Also, I think that the Merovingian controls this between place, because of his line (right after Trinity hears the Oracle's explanation) "bring me the eyes of the Oracle, then I will give you back your savior."

Bane "the past flesh, your enemy"
Neo "its impossible!"
Bane "it was inevitable"
Actually the quote runs like this:
Bane: "Mr. Anderson."
Neo: "Who are you?"
Bane: "The past, the flesh... and see your enemy." (Although that could be "See past the flesh... and see your enemy.")
Neo: "That's impossible."
Bane: "Not impossible. Inevidable."

Neo's nemesis is back! And he has revealed his latest power to Neo. Hmmmm. Then, when we see that smokey yellow, that's the same image from Smith saying, "I'm not so bad, once you get to know me" (just sounds like the devil, doesn't it?) and I think that's just there to show US that Bane is Smith... it's a reminder for those fans who haven't been dwelling on it for the past four and a half months. :naughty: I don't think that's literally what Neo sees at that exchange.

I think that "someone" jumping across the train tracks (from platform to platform) is the Traveller. The clothes and hair look the same. Maybe he's running from Neo now... or trying to lead Neo into a trap from which his mind won't EVER be able to escape. :upto:

I'm curious about the blindfold, too. He wears it when he's pluged in to talk to the big giant head and he looks fine. I'm thinking, when he's bloody (and it looks like he was bleeding from the eyes and nose :alienooh: ) I think it's much later on. It looks like he and Trinity are in a ship alone, fighting squiddies, with only the power of Neo's mind. Looks like he's stopping them like he did at the end of Reloaded on a much larger scale. So I think this is something that happens much later in the film. The blood might be the result of prolonged fighting in this manner, or just colateral damage. Ya know?

And that last flash is so short (what a tease!) that it's IMPOSSIBLE to tell who that is or exactly what is going on. The code looks pretty normal, though.

Anyone else? Here's the URL again... at least to the official web site. Find the trailers and click on the "theatrical trailer" (top left) to see what the frell we're talking about. :D

Edited to add: Looks like the number 7 is the big symbol in this film. (Based on the images of the code at the end of the trailer.)

Also, I HIGHLY recommend checking out the "Ultra Bandwitdth" version of the trailer. Here's what the site says about it: "Not for the meek of heart (or computer), we unveil publicly the ULTRA -- 1024 x 532 -- theatrical trailer. This file, with higher than DVD resolution, is LARGE and requires a FAST system." Look GREAT on my computer. :D
WhatIsTheMatrix.com Scroll down under news to find this version.

OMG!

I just had an epiphany about the blindfold... and it's GROSS!

What if Neo gives up his eyes to the Merovingian to save the Oracle's? :disturbed Maybe that's why they're bandaged and bloody.... :errrr: :eek7: :iiworry:

just getting the ultra-trailer now...

well it looks like im not the only one with an interest in prediction in the matrix. lol

pkgrl, the eyes of the oracle...

i take it that mero wants to be able to see both who is coming to delete him, and the outcome of the current end.

i dont think neo's eyes can provide that. but then again, ive simply got nothing to work with and neither do you.

:)

ah. finished downloading.

where was i?
ah yes. you make some very good points, and i think you are correct about the flame thing, i dont know what i was thinkin when i put "code" down. lol

great job.

but 7???

wheres the fives? we got onto such a hot lead with the number 5 !

oh well.

Actually, when Neo's walking through that yellow "tunnel" (of sorts) it does look like code then, so....

Your guess is as good as mine, I suppose.

I have no idea why the Merovingian would want the eyes of the Oracle, except that it's highly symbolic, so.... Again, just guessing about that.

Regarding the 7s, you know how threes and twos seemed the most noticable in the two previous films (during the code scrolls at the beginning)? The 7s and 8s seem the most obvious this time around. That's the only reason I mentioned it. At the end of the trailer they're the most noticable.

P.S. Isn't that Ultra Trailer awesome?!

Except that in Reloaded the Oracle tells Neo that he's "got the sight" now, that he's seeing the world without time. Why wouldn't the Merovingian be able to get from his eyes what he wanted from the Oracle's?

And 8's too. Have you paid any attention at all the the code that scrolls by in the opening credits of both The Matrix and Reloaded? There are lots of 2s and 3s and even some 4s, but in the scrolls in the Revolutions trailer, the numbers that stand out the most are 7s and 8s. Check it out. ;)

im so sad my speakers still arent working and i cant get the trialer:( (some one kill me now:():rolly2:

"go ahead, the great thing about being me is that there are so many me" :D:rolly2:

Is it only me or does it look like, in the original trailer for Revolutions, the one at the end of Reloaded, that Trinity and Neo are hugging at the "Mobil Ave subway station"? I just saw it again, and the only place I've seen in subsequent trailers that is that white is the "between" place at the Mobil Ave station. I wonder how long Neo's going to be there?

Heh I just realized that "mobil" rearranged is "limbo," aka in between the real world and the machine world.

More mind games. :rolly2:

Are you sure that you have the latest version of Quicktime? I had that problem until I updated it, now it's working great. :rolly2:

Good one, Stacy! I hadn't even thought of rearranging words... and you'd think I'd know better after the whole Neo = One thing. ;) Now I'm gonna be thinkin' about that all day.

Stacy, did you download the "super trailer?" It's incredible!
