Will Neo Sacrifice Himself in Revolutions?

perhaps.

but consider: if he did, the "integral anomaly" that the architect called him, would be no more; thus creating a perfect world, where the architect could create and destroy at will.

the presence of the anomaly makes the arcitect's administrative control much harder, it also controls what the architect can ... archetize. lol

get me?

I think the series will require the sacrifice of Neo to bring the destruction of the Matrix.

From Reloaded I got the distinct impression that Neo is essential to the smooth running of the Matrix. He is somewhere for all the drifts and imponderables to go.

Without him the Matrix is perfect and it destroys itself, so when he loses, he wins.

But Neo never wanted the matrix to be destroyed. He only ever wanted the war to end... he wanted peace. The problem is that the Architect wants a perfectly balanced equation, but nothing can be perfect or balanced when human beings are involved in it. We're imperfect, illogical creatures that seem to thrive on discord and conflict. Just ask Smith. ;)

ray, if the matrix how does it destroy itself?(u confused me with this):rolly2:

Happy to say I've still not seen the film and am avoiding the spoilers at least until it appears for rent in Spar, so this is just an opinion.

I think Mr Smith has a significant role to play on the grounds he seems to be fighting everybody, intent on the destruction of everything and getting stronger! There is also the broader deeper biblical meanings behind the story.

If Neo destroys the Matrix, it will restart as bigger and better. In the process it destroys the free humans. It may be a case that Neo must become the Matrix to recreate it. But we then have the Smith factor that can no longer be controlled. Which ever way- Neo loses, possibly with a side order of the destruction of the Matrix

If Neo is destroyed. The Matrix destroys Free humans. Without Neo there is no balance for the destructive influence of Smith the Matrix is destroyed. Everybody loses

If Neo does not destroy the Matrix and he is not destroyed, then the Matrix will concentrate more and more resources upon the 'Free' humans, ultimately resulting in their destruction, whilst Neo is fiighting an ever more powerful Smith. The destruction of the 'Free' Humans will ultimately end in the destruction of the Matrix as there is no where for stray variables to go. Either way. Neo loses.

If Neo surrenders himself for peace. The Matrix can combat Smith effectively neutralising him. Because the Matrix has not been restarted. Neo can continue, if in name only, as a faith (ala christianity?). The Matrix has not been destroyed, but now has to accommodate 'Free' humans, time will then bring on the orderly dismantling of the Matrix. Neo wins

ur gonna have to see it.

I concur. And on the big screen. Don't wait for the video. If you don't want to "waste" money (like some people claimed) go to a matinee or look for a deal somewhere. But definately see it on the big screen. All action movies look better in the theater than they do on TV... any TV.

I concur whole heartedly, normally.

But wasn't greatly impressed with Reloaded as an action film at the cinema, so don't see me missing much here.
All the fancy dancing hid what is a fascinating story. So I'll watch the video and I can fast forward through the dull stuff (at least through the second viewing) and track the story?

Besides, it'll be an anti-climax if I'm right (or even half right!). If I'm wrong then the story makes even less sense than it does to date.

Of course I could change my mind when I hear about it from my grandson tomorrow?

It is an anti-climax, the climax comes somewhere near the end of Reloaded in my opinion, but if you want the story, then I think that Revolutions develops the plot more. It just has such an unsatisfying end. Sorry, I'm starting to repeat myself now in these threads.

neo is a beast

ive already seen the last matrix and im happy to say that he dies. he works with the machines to stop smith and leaves the world in realtive peace and harmony. neo is a ninja in training, otherwise he wouldn't have been able to die.
