Hi folks! Just a reminder that we are now into the final couple of days of the charity auction I'm running! I’d also like to give you my ebay bidding tip of the day...
Do you find you tend to be outbid at the last minute? Can’t be there at the end? Ever kept bidding against another bidder and found they seem to bid back instantly until you get fed up? Ever said after an auction ‘I would have paid more than that...’ The answer is to use the proxy bidding feature at ebay. This is automatic, you don’t have to do anything special. Simply work out how much you are willing and/or able to bid, and put that amount in as a bid. The system will then automatically bid for you up to the highest you are willing to go. It will only bid as high as it needs to go to beat other bidders (If they’ve put in a proxy bid it may go up quite fast: that’s what was happening when it appeared they were bidding against you instantly...). If you are the eventual winner and you would have paid then more no-one will know, including me...
If everyone uses proxy bidding, then the one who wins will be the one who was willing to pay the most. Simple...
Money made from the auction will be going to CCFF (Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation), DEBRA UK (charity for people with Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) and SSCS (Sea Shepherd Conservation Society).
