This is a new-ish comedy showing in the UK, starring Matt Lucas and David Walliams, and also featuring Tony Head as the Prime Minister of Britain.

His role is a fairly small one, this is a sketch show, and ASH is in just one of the sketches, essentially as a "straight man", a foil for the comedians to work off. His character is the Prime Minister, and the other character in the sketch is one of his aides or a junior minister of some sort, who is obviously gay and fancies the PM. Not very PC, but the whole show isn't PC, but it is pretty funny!

An interesting role for ASH anyway...

I thought i'd watch an episode of the show to see what it was like, and imagine my surprise when ASH popped up! I thought he was good in it, especially since this isn't his usual forte.

Saw another episode last week, where ASH's Prime Minister was grilling another minister about if he was planning a leadership challenge, and his aide who fancies him and is far too camp slapped the guy when he admitted it!! :D

And they introduced the clip with something along the lines of "meanwhile at number 10 Downing Street, the Prime Minister is having a meeting, well not the real Prime Minister, but that guy from Buffy" :rolly2:

I saw that episode too - it was a very funny skit with ASH. Especially since it has some relation to real life, sort of (you know, the whole Blair-Brown deal thing).

And Tom Baker's narration is just hilarious.

Overall I have begun to find the show a bit repetitive, but it has flashes of genius - and of course any excuse to see a bit of ASH on the telly is fine by me :D

I found that line quite funny. :D
