new sci film using stargate theme tune

Just saw trailed for some new sci-film with angelian jolie, jude law (is that how you spell it?) anyway, weirdly the end of the trailer ended with the stargate theme tune music. Surprised that MGM didn't license it exclusivly .. who knows

Is that "Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow"?

As discussed in the recent thread "Stargate Music", quite a few distinctive and dramatic pieces of music are used over and over as trailer backgrounds. The producers get more money and it implies the music is "worthy" of being heard again. And of course, means the film's own music hasn't been written yet!

I noticed that too!

I think the film looks really good, but I was surprised that they would use such recognisable music for the trailer. Considering how long SG1 has been going the theme tune must be pretty widely familiar.

According to my book, the original trailer for Stargate has the "Bram Stoker's Dracula" music as an overlay, which I'd have said was equally distincive...
