Casting get lazy [seasons up to 7 casting spoilers]

Is it me or is the casting getting lazy into season seven?

I know that even by Season 3 we had David McNally re-appearing in "Demons" as Simon, having already appeared as Hanno in "Cor-ai"... but we're starting to get them wholesale in season 7. (We'll ignore the ubiquitous Dion Johnstone for now...)

Barely seconds into the S7 opener "Fallen" and we re-meet George Touliatos as a nomad (Pyrus from "Need"), then into "Revisions" and we get both Peter LaCroix as Kendrick (the Ashrak in "In the Line of Duty") and Tiffany Knight as Evalla (Princess La Moor in "Touchstone").

Does it end? Or can we expect well known faces to continue to pop up again? Maybe Peter Williams as Apophis' lesser known younger twin brother?

I'm not quite sure how frequently this is happening in season 7, but they have re-used actors and actresses as different characters throughout earlier seasons. Ex. Ally in Bane is the older Cassandra in Rite of Passage.

Yeah - I meant to do an Edit to add her in... I guess Katie Stuart didn't want to come back, but Colleen Rennison didn't mind...

Question:

Wasn't Katie's involvement with X-Men 2 the reason why she could not return for Rite of Passage?

I know that they have used Dion Johnstone quite a bit. He was "Nelson" Rules of Engagement,"Tyler" in "The Fifth Man" , as well as other roles masks and makeup.

I like seeing the same actors in different roles. So what if I recognize them from previous episodes. Everyone has to work and SG1 seems to keep actors in regular employment.

In addition to the ubiquitous Dion Johnston, we should add Alex Zahara, Martin Wood, and Peter DeLuise (as well as other DeLuises )
