gatecon emails

Hey,

Has anyone else not been getting any gatecon emails ??? Or is it just me ??:blush:

That's strange. There has been 2 emails sent to all of the ticket holders in the past week.

The last one was last night announcing Frida Betrani and Alex Zahara have been added to our lineup.

Send me an email and I will check that we have the right email address for you

I've heard that there are a lot of problems on the Internet this last week due to a spate of new viruses. You will have heard of one on the news designed to attack MSN. A few smaller ISPs have actually crashed. Lots of emails are bouncing back and clogging up the system, others are getting delayed by up to 24 hours before delivery. Maybe that is why?

maybe..but i have not had any since my ticket confirmation email

I wasn't getting e-mails from Gatecon for ages......because I was using my road runner account. Apparently they have started some kind of aggressive spam fighting thing that will occasionally keep some legit e-mail from *ever* landing in your inbox (but of course actual spam gets through-go figure). I wrote to Richard and changed to my other e-mail and ta-da! It worked magic......I got the most recent mailing with no problem.

I know of someone else with a yahoo account who hasn't received mailings either...don't know what that's all about.

But definitely if you have road runner, I'd try an alternate e-mail if you have one. If you don't, you might want to sign up for one of the freebies available on the internet and give it a try.

Not sure if this is what's happeneing to the Gatecon posts, but I know Yahoo and Hotmail accounts are getting really hard to get things through on. Trying another free mail provider may be the fix.

Hi Rowan and all, no problems getting email on AOL; got one the other day advising about the petition to get RDA to come to the upcoming GateCon.
