Anime Convention!!!

Yes I'm so excited I get to go to an Anime Convention in May! I've never gone before but this year I'm going and I can't wait! My friend is going to dress up as several anime characters in the three days that we're going to be there. I might go in costume but I'm not sure about that yet. anyways I just thought it'd be cool to discuss it here. has anyone else here been to one?

I want to go to Anime North this year but thats not happening ;_; and anime bostons gone already *sobs* I want to go to a con so badly!too bad if I ever got to go,I'd blow my money getting the tickets and back and forth XD

I don't think I have time to make a costume now. but I'm still thinking on that part. If I do go in costume I'll probably dye my hair blue and go as Botan from Yu Yu Hakisho.

I was hoping you'd stop in meaghan!:wave:Actually I was surprised how un expensive it really was. It could have been alot more.:alienooh:

woot!They're nice ones Asmiley! d^-^b how expensive WAS the con anyways?I know the one I was looking at to go to would have been about 500$ to get it....but then again that one included hotel rooms :/ haha ^.^ Ya should so go as Boton though!that would be cool!!!I've only ever dressed up as Wolfwood from Trigun,and Faust from Shaman King,and neither of those were for cons(go halloween!)

It was $100 with hotel rooms.:alienooh: see I told ya it wasn't as expensive as I expected it to be. but then hotel was cheap becauae I'm splitting the cost with five other girls.... but still. though if I would have not paid for my tickets early it would have cost $200 for me to go but I'm glad I was able to get it for the price I did.:aliengray

hehe Asmiley have fun! i have fun at Cons! this year at wildercon (yes people of england i am returning to Wildercon) i will be doing 3 Cos Plays.. a FFVIII one as Squall (yes i get to be squall) heh

a MKR( Magic Knight Rayearth) one as Guru Cleff probably

and a Chobist one Crossplaying Chi or maybe doing Outlaw Star as Gene Starwind =^.^=

Well I'm back. The Convention Rocked! There were tons of Vash and Wolfwood Costumes and there was a really awesome Millie Costume and several Inuyasha ones....

I now Have an Inuyasha Plushy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Yay!!!!!!!!!!:rolly2:

I got a ton of pics from different artists and the dealer's room. Most of them are Kenshin pics. I did get a really cute one of Inuyasha holding a daisy though.:blush:

I learned some new words like Manga and Otaku and (he-he) Pocky!

I saw a ton of AMV's that were really cool too. AMV=Anime Music Video for anyone who didn't know. It's taking me a bit to get the anime fan lingo but I think i'll catch on.

It rocked that The Voice actor who plays Koga in Inyuyasha was there. in case anyone has no idea who I mean His Name is Scott McNeil. He was funny! and he's played in lots of other anime series too. He really made it a fun atmosphere. I hope To see him again at future Cons. :rain:

I went to a Witch Hunter Robin panel and the person who translates the show into english was there so we got to talk to him. That was way cool too.


Oh and I found this really cool online comic in one of the art rooms that I'm now hooked on. I'd be happy to pm you peeps a link if you'd like.

And that was the con pretty much. I had a blast and next year I'm going in costume! Botan for sure maybe a couple other costumes not sure what yet....
