Cult Times 102 - probably of most interest to people in the UK as a large part of the magazine consists of the SciFi tv schedule for March on UK telly.

It has an interview with Steve Bacic. Some really nice pics too

Here are just a few clips for you -

"We actually shot one or two episodes before doing the two-parter with Tyr," explains Bacic. "It's funny, when I first came back to the show it took me a few days to figure out where my character was going and what his relationships were with the other characters. So in the beginning I felt a little bit at odds or offbalance with regard to how to play Telemachus and I tried to bring that out in my performance. After all, like me, this guy was stepping into a new situation. It only made sense that we'd both feel slightly apprehensive.

"As far as the two-parter with Tyr, in some ways that was a very happy experience for me and in other ways rather sad," continues the actor. "I mean, here was Keith Hamilton Cobb returning to the show for what would likely be his last appearance. So this was very much a time of closure for him and a sort of passing on the torch to me. There's a finality to this business and people are constantly moving on to do other things, but still you can't help but feel a little emotional twinge when that happens. In my case, I was basically starting out on a TV show that I was familiar with and had worked on before. Finally, after three years I was being given the chance to really become a part of it."

As a Nietzschean, Telemachus, like his predecessor Tyr, has his own agenda when it comes to his presence aboard the Andromeda. However, from an acting standpoint, Bacic not only wants to make his character very different from that of Keith Hamilton Cobb's, but also from his previous role of Gaheris Rhade.
My favourite episode this year, though, is one that takes place in a 'possibility universe'. Dylan arrives there by accident and finds that all his shipmates and their relationships with each other are quite different. In this world Harper [Gordon Michael Woolvett] is Telemachus's boss and he takes great joy in smacking him around. We had a blast shooting that story.

Prior to starting his work on Andromeda, Bacic was in Montreal filming a Lifetime Network movie called Deception with Dina Meyer [Birds of Prey]. He also guest starred on two now defunct UPN shows, The Twilight Zone and Black Sash, as well as having a recurring role in the Showtime series Out of Order. This winter, the actor is set to shoot at least one if not two film projects, and is looking forward to then getting back to playing Telemachus in Season Five of Andromeda.
