Happy tears finally make sense...
My sincere thanks. Thanks for the sentiment tim. I really appreciate it.
-=~^*My schpiel. Feel free to skim (or skip to the bottom if necessary...lol) if it's too long. I'll understand. :rolly2: *^~=-
...I feel like my heart is breaking with every day that passes, knowing I'm not going to Gatecon this year...
I've been immersed in Gatecon as soon as I had found out about it. I've read up on everything - since September... just off the top of my head...
I can show you where Vancouver, British Columbis, Canada is on a map. I can tell you the legal age to drink is 19. I can tell you a little about the different conversions - both financially and electrically... I can tell you about a few different airlines that fly into Vancouver... (pack light people...lol)... I can tell you the nearest airport is YVR (Vancouver) and that there is a free transportation service to the Best Western (BW)...
I can tell you about Vancouver and its surrounding suburbs, some filming locations that some people might see on the bus tours for both the inner and outer regions; I can imagine Bridge studios vividly although I've never seen it in person. I can even picture the Best Western after taking the virtual tours on their site. I can tell you about the other hotels -including the Hilton and Marriot- and stores nearby that I've never been to.
I can talk about kindereggs, mead, and my personal favorite "osmosis"...as well as abbreviations that would unterly confuse and scramble the non-stargate fan - going crazy on the prying fan...er frying pan... I've never met other stargate fans, let alone the queen of osmosis. Although I'm looking forward to it...
I can tell you about "Sekh's Party" (SPV or SP5) and about the stuffyguard...
I can tell you that there's sooooo much love for C4 ( I can tell you who C4 is...), the other planners, the volunteers, the fans, the cast, the crew...
I think it's safe to say you all know about it and have felt its force... It's why you're going, right? I think you all have helped me discover my inner... ardvark?... maybe aardie could help me with the word(s) on this one. :rolly2:
I can't tell you how thankful I am for the fans - especially gategoers- and Gatecon even though I'm not going. I can't tell you how compelled I am to support the show as well as Gatecon. I can't tell you about the sincere appreciation and gratitude I have felt these past 10 months researching and planning, even with the fact that... I'm not going to Gatecon this year. (*phew* I actually said it... a little choked up and painful to say, but... I
did say it...)
The pain is bareable, but the excitement is killing me... lol j/k
So much hype and hope, all to be surpressed for another several months... :dead:
PS. Remember the saying...
"Is it July yet?"
Well, HOLY HANNAH! It is... again for those who are going: HAVE A GATERRIFIC TIME AT GATECON!
