Volunteering...

Paul, I can't think of a single time we didn't want everyone of our volunteers. Honest! :D

Doh!!! :D :D
What have I let myself in for :rolly2:

Don't worry Paul

This year we have decided to put padding on our shackles and we are using shorter whips :rolly2: :rolly2:

Allan - you're just ruining all the fun!

not to mention - you're giving away the secrets! Stop that! ;)

information

We had to shorten the chains on the shackles, too, H II. The volunteers were getting away from thier seats too easliy.

Rowan

;)

serious question

sorry to ruin the flow of fun, but...

Can someone with a tripass voluteer? Meaning, anyone can volunteer as long as they have a ticket to Gatecon?

Oh good, it's gentler than I'm used to then.

More used to handcuffs and batons :rolly2: :D

Don't you hate it when that happens?? ;)

philoSCIFI - and yes - of course - the more the merrier on the volunteer front! There's always something to do - ;)

question

(Another) possible hypothetical question:

If something comes up and circumstances/situations change making it harder to go to Gatecon and you may sell your ticket(s) but would still like to help out in some way, what can you do?

Helping...

Well, one thing, if you have a web site, you could pop up a Gatecon button or banner and link back to us. Passing the info around that we exist never hurts. ;)

Thanks :D Already done. I was thinking more along the lines of hands on volunteering, maybe do something to help get others to the con... :rolly2:

You could donate things to the Charity auctionn -- I know that's not helping others get to the con, but it'll help raise money for Make a Wish...

getting ppl to the con? hmm - hard to say there - I mean - I totally get the wanting to help thing, I'm just not sure what you could do...

Thanks

Thanks for the donation idea. Where and/or how would I go about doing that? And for the auction...what exactly are the type of items? The only Stargate related items I have are magazines. I've got the DVD Box sets, but don't think I'll be parting with those anytime soon. :p :) I've already started looking at stuffyguard.com(?) and am hoping to help out that way. Looks like a good cause and I like how each actor/actress has a particular stuffed animal associated with them. :)

Thanks again for any ideas...If anyone has any more, please feel free to share them with me as there's less than 100 days to go... :)

Yeah - the Stuffy Guard is an excellent way to go - especially if you don't have a lot of Stargate type items.

People have donated all kinds of things in the past - if you have artistic or craft skills, you can make something...

Er - maybe someone else has some ideas...

Thanks

Thanks. I didn't know that. I thought the auction was more of the props, costumes, and the like. :)

Volunteering/Security for Gate Con `04

Hi,

BC RTM (Rag Top Man) did security at the first GateCon and I think he might want to do it again this year if at all possible for us to go. Who has that info? Should I talk to Ausgate?

E-Mail info to: jltlc@hotmail.com (BC Rag Top Man/BC Top Down Taz)

Thank you.

Security

Ladytree is our volunteer coordinator. She handles that stuff and her Lord Husband, Wolf-Pac runs out security. If he's interested, he needs to go to our website. Gatecon and fill out the volunteer info request.
