The RanKuf is a Klingon Bird of Prey set in the 24th Century, a time of galactic exploration, however many enemies lie around every planet, and a new order seems to be rising in the stars. The Empire teeters on the brink of conflict, as civil wars flames once again begin to burn amongst the people of the Empire. But as the flames grow wild amongst the planets, a new threat comes from the deep of space waiting to destroy. Duty, Honor, and Loyalty, these are the three precepts of the Klingon Heart of Virtue, the RanKuf only accepts the hardiest of Klingon warriors! If you feel you have the heart of a warrior, then the RanKuf awaits you. Don't be late!

The RanKuf is a group of devoted simmers to the Klingon culture. We are strict Klingon vessel and do not accept any non-Klingon we feel this hurts the credibility of a Klingon ship and defeats the realism we strive so hard to keep. We are an open and welcoming crew whom enjoy nothing more than a good fight. If you enjoy the Klingon race as much as we do then please come onboard!

To be anything other than some Federation vessel is unusual.

Thanks for dropping a note, I might well pass by and have a look.

Yes, a Klingon ship in a mostly Federation dominated rpg genre is difficult but a lot of fun. The RanKuf is a member of a group by the name of the StarFleet Legacy Alliance, we not only have trek sims but Stargate, Firefly, and Star Wars ships. Oh and they are also staffed with hosts! lol

Anyway you are welcome to read up on our forums at http://slasims.com

Any questions please let me know, we are a welcoming group eager to recieve new people!

Were you able to browse around and if so what did you think?

I have had a look. It is a pretty site!

Are you intending to add an example of a mission?

I've never joined in a RPG or SIM before, so don't in all honesty know how they work. Which is a concern, to me at least.

How descriptive do posts get? Noting I am a writer, would I be too verbose?

In my opinion the more descriptive you are the better and if you have that talent your are indeed lucky. PBEM (Play By Email) style simming is like writing a story you are writing it from your characters point of view and then your ship mates react and do things by their characters point of view.

Example:

On:

***Bridge***

M'kal stared at the screen in mild suprise, he had expected to die like a warrior on this day, however with the explosion of the enemy vessel, he knew that today would be a glorious day to live! Turning to his command chair he pressed the comm button on his chair again. Had his officers returned intact?

"Transporter room, did you get them?" M'kal called.

"We are here safely." Came the cool reply of his XO.

"Qapla!" M'kal barked into the comm panel as he allowed a brief moment of celebration through the bridge.

Several minutes later, the forms of Mek'lor, K'tar and Ko'Cha entered, a calm expression on Mek'lor's face he looked to M'kal, fury was hidden from his expression, fury over his glorious victory over his opponent. "Our mission is complete, HoD" said Mek'lor calmly as he took a deep breath 'There will be another time' thought Mek'lor as he looked to M'kal. "What are you orders?" asked Mek'lor

M'kal allowed a small grin as he first moved to the three officers and punched them on the shoulder in approval. He walked past them slowly and turned his attention to the screen.

"Sir" a voice called.

"We are reading klingon warp signature entering the area, it is the Romoth! With escorts." The officer called.

The Romoth was soon seen on the viewer.

"Inform the honorless dog HoD of the Romoth that we have vanguished the agressors and no longer require assistance." M'kal called turning back into his seat.

"Let's get this ship working properly!" M'kal called.

Off:

Alright guys we will have a brief epilogue period for the next two days I will send out a update later today, promotions will be handed out! Now post what your character is doing to help get the ship working our how your character is interacting.

ON:

**BRIDGE**

K'Tar sat quietly at his post on the bridge watchin the sensors and his HoD shouting at the Captain of the Romoth. While repairs were on going K'Tar had been ordered to remain at his post to maintain a vigil in case anymore of the enemy ships showed up. The young lagh reflected on the events of his short time on board the Rankuf and smiled, he was going to like this ship, it was certainly more fun than the academy. K'Tar focused his attention back onto his console, he would enjoy many drinks later with the crew to celebrate this glorious victory but for now the crew had there jobs to do.
