Direct copy from a email post - repeated here for everyone's information so there's no confusion about what's happening.
==============================================
Okay so we have bad news, and we have good news!!
Apologies for the delay in updating the studio tour situation but we've been waiting on a decision from a higher power. Unfortunately, the news isn't good. As we are an unlicensed event - as in not the "official" Stargate SG-1 convention - we have been told that we are unable to offer the studio set tours, or to show the premiere of Atlantis. That's as much info as we can give out on the matter I'm afraid.
If it is any consolation, we are as disappointed as you! Hopefully no other areas of the event will be affected adversely.
So, onto the nicer news:
1. We will be joined over the weekend by David Winning, director on Atlantis and Andromeda amongst others. We also hope to screen the Andromeda episode Double or Nothingness which David directed and starring Colin Cunningham and Andrew Jackson.
2. There has been a change to the Thursday night line-up. The cocktail party (open to Superpass tickets only) will now run between 6pm and 8pm followed by a live acoustic concert by Vancouver musician Hethro (Jonathan Hetherington who is also lead singer with band SunLikeStar...www.hethro.com). Jonathan will also be selling and signing copies of his album/s. The concert will be followed by the disco. Note, both the concert and the disco are open to ALL ticket types.
3. We will also be joined by actor Jerry Rector, who has worked on shows such as ST-TNG and Sliders. Jerry will join his neighbor Andrew Jackson on stage along with Colin Cunningham and will also be doing a special signing session in the dealers room.
hmmmm, I was sure there was a fourth piece of good news to share.....oh yes [evil grin]...
4. Amanda Tapping and Michael Shanks on stage together will be fantastic on the Saturday. But it just got better. They will be joined by Christopher Judge!
Chris will also take part in the photo sessions that day, plus we will shortly be launching a brand new online auction for six people to join Chris for a private lunch at the hotel, just before he comes on stage. The auction should be starting next week so we'll keep you posted.
Again apologies for the studio tour disappointment, but that one really is out of our hands!
Richard
