Is it gonna be before Atlantis?

Is stargate staring before the new series? I would think they would because they didnt even find the city yet. But dose anyone know Exactly when the new season starts? I know I dont have to long to wait but im ready.

Stargate Atlantis opens with a two-hour premiere Friday, July 16 at 9/8C

I dont recall startgate EVER having two new ones on the same night. Not even when it was one showtime.

What about the pilot... Children of the Gods... on the DVDs that seems to play as a single episode.

Now, that episode was loooong. I don't think it was a two parter though. I'm not quite sure though, maybe someone else could answer that one. I know it was a made for tv movie type episode, but was it really two parts?

I think you miss understand me. I meant they have never put two "new" ones on the "same" night(TV).

No problem? The crossover between Atlantis and SG1 doesn't seem to have been figured out even now, in 2007 is where I'm at. I know in the opening episode Jack's a general. I'm still wondering if Atlantis is the city Daniel considered the Lost City. I could find no clear statement made about this.
