Gatecon 2004...help!

Hey guys!

First i'll introduce myself!-My names Linzi and i'm 20 and in 3 weeks on wednesday i'm moving to vancouver from the UK for 5 months!!

I've just looked on the gatecon website and noticed that the w'end after i get there its gatecon!-which is crazy! And i'm considering coming because it'd be a great way to spend my first w'end in canada and i'd get to meet some locals!

I was just wondering if the tickets are still onsale at this late date? i'd be getting a saturdat day ticket.....so how much would that be in £'s?....isn't $75 about £50?

Also i'm sorting my accomodation out when i get to van so i've NO idea where i'll be staying that w'end but i'll prob be in the downtown area.....is it easy to travel to where the conv's being held by public transport there!

And lastly if i do come would any nice people like to meet up with me so i'm not spendin the day on my own like a loon?!?!
-i've been to gatecon before with my mate rowena in 2002 (the two brits walking round in heaven that year if anyone remembers?!) so i kinda know what to expect!!

i do know someone who had a tripass she was willing to sell.

a tripass gets you into things but i don't think it gets you autos or the such (or you're last in line, check the gatecon site for the real specifics)

i'll e-mail her and double check she still wants to get rid of it and then let you know

Thank you both so much for the offers! And for replying so quickly, i really appriciate it! But i definaltely only want a day ticket because i'll be travelling from (prob) downtown vancouver and i don't want to do that everyday and i really can't afford a ticket other than a day ticket!

Thank you rich for letting me know about the day ticket availability......i've decided not to go now-i really wanted a saturday ticket due to the guests on that day and i know that sunday in particular is a shorter day for talks.

But again all of you thank you for your speedy replies and the offers-i really appriciate it!

And i hope EVERYONE has an EXCELLENT time at gatecon! I know you all will!! :rolly2:

Another call for help...

I'm hoping if last minute plans work out, I may still be able to attend, even for just a day. *crosses fingers* Either way, I'd like to at least make a trip to Vancouver for a few days...

I've checked gategoers and have heard/seen offers here and there for buying/trading/selling tickets, but was wondering if anyone still had tickets they wouldn't mind selling. I'm looking for a Sat. day pass as well, but am keeping my options open for flexibility.

Anyway, any help and/or information would be greatly appreciated.
