This was pretty funny.
Scifi channel just showed an for the Get in the Gate sweepstakes, in which Amanda Tapping and Joe Flanigan are like judges in "American Idol," auditioning people. They're at a table in the gateroom, while people stand in front of them, the gate in the background, and do their thing.
The first guy sings 'Stargate" like he's doing Camelot.
So Joe calls "Next!" and a guy just like a Jaffa shows up, and it's "next!" and then a woman dressed like she should be on American Idol starts singing "Atlantis" but Amanda moves her on while Joe is holding up an 8x10 (can't tell of who, but a guy - could be someone from the cast).
Next are two gymnasts who flip by, so Joe and Amanda both hold up "10" cards.
Next guy shows up and suddenly runs up the ramp toward the open gate, but some guard jumps him and they both fly off the ramp. Both Amanda and Joe cringe.
Next is some guy in a silver/black suit doing a robot type act. Joe looks pained at having to watch.
Then the announcer goes on about "think you have what it takes to join the SG team" and tells you how to enter the contest.
It ends with the guy from the beginning singing and twirling, and Amanda turning to Joe and saying "where'd they find these people?"
