First of all, I want to say a big hello to all my fellow Sci-Fi fans out there! I'm really glad I found this site!

I'm trying to remember the title (and author) of a book I read a very long time ago. It was about a group of humans that lived on a heavy gravity world and were mercenary/pirates - the most feared in the galaxy. Their advantage was coming from a heavy gravity planet, they were of course stronger but could also stand more g-force than a normal human. Star Wolves comes to mind, but I can't find anything on searches for that title.

Been a while since we had a query where I know the book, but the writer as well!
The answer to your riddle is indeed The Starwolves, a three book series by Edmond Hamilton
The books being:

1. Weapon from Beyond, The
2. Closed Worlds, The
3. World of the Starwolves
I have the second one in the series and it's not a bad diversion for a rainy afternoon.

If you are finding those books difficult to find you could try a Four book series by Thoriann Gunnarsson, which have much the same theme

3. Tactical Error
4. Dreadnought
