Well, alright, this forum has been surprisingly inactive in the time I've been gone ^^

But I'm back now, and willing to try and make it active again.

For one, why don't we talk about manga?

I've read some really cool ones lately, mostly GANTZ, Anne Freaks, Fire Candy, and so on and so forth. Wanna see pictures and summaries?

GANTZ

Kei Kurono is a typical high school student in a selfish world, not caring about anyone other than himself. However when, by chance, he was forced to help out his childhood friend, Katou Masaru, rescue a drunkard who fell into subway tracks, both he and Katou were killed... Or not. After being run over by the train, they were suddenly teleported to an enclosed apartment with others who recently died. And now their lives are controlled by a mysterious black ball inside the apartment called GANTZ, and they are forced to participate in a "game" of unprecedented danger and horror.

This is, personally, my favorite manga of the lot. Its got a lot of heartache, lots of blood and gore, and plenty of plotline.

Midori no Hibi

High school delinquent Seiji Sawamura is desperate to have a girlfriend, especially after being rejected by 20 girls as of late. He's afraid that he will end his life with his right hand as his only companion. Apparently, that doesn't change when one day when he wakes up and discovers that his right hand has become a girl named Midori Kasugano, who confesses that she has had a crush on him for the last three years.

This manga is really cute. There's a love triangle, shock value (she's his right hand, for goodness' sake!), and cute romance. It's... not what I usually read, but I like it.

Anne Freaks

Yuri Kitagawa just killed his mother. Just when he thought it was all over, he runs into a girl named Anne who knows he killed his mother, and oddly, wants to help him. She also tells him she wants him to be her parent killing partner.

This manga really isn't what you expect it to be. The summary really doesn't do justice to the issues and morals presented, and the ending is definitely not a common one. I loved this manga.

Fire Candy

Fire Candy's about a future where most of humanity has lost the ability to reproduce normally. This has brought about the existance of 'halfs', people born from the geneic material of both humans and animals.

This manga develops really fast, but that makes sense because it is only two volumes long. I like my manga philosophical and violent, so I don't know about y'all, but I'd watch what reccomendations you take from me.

If you guys want to know what else I'm reading/like... just post and I'll put up some more for your reading pleasure :D
