World building maps

I have been using Campaign Cartographer since its inception in the DOS days, and it is phenominal. My current novel has a CC2 map in it, and I have done extensive worldbuilding for other works with it. You can learn it in a few hours, though after years I am still trying to become a true master. This is a phenominal product! Buy it and the fractal terrains together as a minimal package.

Hi Richardb - and welcome to the chronicles-network! Sincerely glad to see you visit - and wise words indeed.

I haven't bought - yet - but I'm going to look again at both. :)

Btw - Richard was referring to the profantasy link. :)

I have been using MapMaker Pro to convert my maps to the digital form, but I've found it to be rather clumsy and unmanageable. This does look marvelous, though. Will be certain to give it a look. Thanks!

And this is also my first post here on these forums. Pleasure to meet you all.

Thank you. Now how about some of that tea? :p

My one gripe with CC2-Pro so far is that it all looks very cartoonish. And I can't find a demo of Fractal Terrain which looks much more suited, really.

Hello all, new here after browsing the web for more map/floorplan forums & sources. Just wanted to mention Dundjinni as another "exterior" map making software package.

Also, if your into making floorplans, I recommend Coreldraw or any other vector program.

They do not look that great actually. Although i could design a map and my girlfriend could draw them.
