There's been so many games made from movies and anime shows and they usually are...should i say... dissapointing? What do you think of these games? Do you recomend a game from a movie or anime show? I've started playing Fullmetal Alchemist because i have been known to watch the show regularly and to my suprise the game is like a lost episode. i'm really digging it. so i have to say bravo to square enix for not letting me down. Is anyone playing it? Have any thoughts? here's a link if you what to take a look. www.square-enix.com/games/FMA
now discuss

I haven't played any games that came from anime, but I have noticed a definate anime influence on original games - how much does Otocon from MGS remind you of Comander Ikari from NGE? And Emma (Otocon's sister) just is an anime character!

Maybe it has something to do with the fact that neither have live action in so you can shoot from any angle and have any subject you can think of, and you end up with similar results.

Usually; games don't make good TV/movies.

And TV/movies don't make good games.

Unfortunatly; since there's always a fan base of crazy obsessed who need everything attached to a certain fandom; these types of things will never stop.

And Otacon is god. You leave him be. XD He really doesn't remind me of Ikari at *all*. Similar look; but both are rather generic looking.

Now I need to play some MGS; thanks a lot.

Just about all tv/movies > video games: tend to be horrible. it's a sad fact of it. I've heard lots of horrible things about the FMA game line.

I like movies based on games and such if they're well done, but there have been one or two shockers. Such films tend to be anime anyway, unless Hollywood gets hold of them.

Sin became a movie from a game. It was one of the few which wasn't too bad. Nothing spectacular but not atrocious either:)

It all actually depends on how well the story is being used. Some of the greatest movie have turned out to be very disappointing as games, & vice versa...
