Gatecon offers convention attendees a fantastic once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be part of an exciting new TV show....
Any one coming to Gatecon 2005 who has purchased a full 5 day ticket is eligible to enter our upcoming auction to be on set of a new series that is filming in Vancouver. On Monday morning, July 25th., an initial first bus carrying 50 fans will leave our Convention hotel to board a Vancouver tour boat. We will board the boat, along with press and some specially invited local dignitaries, for a small tour of Vancouver's harbour.
The highest bidding, 50*** lucky winners will be used as extras / background performers in an episode of this series. You will be required to sign releases forms indicating that no fees now or in the future will be paid.
During the tour, the boat will be "seized" by a group of international gangsters / MAFIA. The bad guys will be actors / guests attending Gatecon 2005. The passengers on the boat will be held at gun point. There will be some shooting of guns using blanks. Eventually, the boat will be rescued by Royal Canadian Mounted Police in a "James Bond" style manner and all passengers will be saved.
During the filming, the highest bidder amongst the ladies will be used in a scene kissing one of the lead male actors and the highest bidder amongst the men will be used in a scene kissing
the lead female actor. Which filmed scenes make the final cut of the episode of this series is solely at the producers' discretion.
Our Gatecon 2005 photographers will be on set to take photos of some of our stars with the fans for a fee; similar to our Gatecon 2005 photo sessions at the hotel.
The net profit received from this event will be shared with Make A Wish and a children's hospital.
