Chaos is rampant as paramedics try to save Commander Adama's life, and the Galactica is separated from the fleet. Suspicion is cast on even the closest of allies. Part 1 of 2.

A Cracker of a re-launch into series 2.

A quick over view

Adama is dieing and the Cylons attack. The fleet jumps but Galactica got the wrong coords so loses the fleet and arrives somewhere else!

They have to jump back and replot the jump from the star formations but it will take days unless they network the computers together making them vulnerable to Cylon network attack. They setup firewalls and jump back but the Cylons are swift with their assualt. While this goes on Adama is bleeding to death and the Doc away in the fleet so the Medic has to do open heart surgury at the orders from Tye (who will not give up on Adama)

The cylons attack the firewalls and they start to breach them one by one however before it is fully breached the coords are recovered and the link is pulled. Galactica jumps to find the fleet waiting.

The sub plot shows how Adama and Tye meet and get themselves back into the fleet. In the flashbacks you can see how Tye never wanted his path but has been forced down it. In this episode he has to fight his demons and really take command to pull everyone through and he does this well. However the cracks are appearing especially from the interference from his wife.

Tye visits the imprisoned Boomer and takes out his anger on her but stops short of killing her. Apollo is allowed to fly for the CAP but when off duty he returns to his cell.

The medic is able to stop the internal bleeding and massage Adamas heart back to life. She gets him stable ready for the Doc much to the relief of Col Tye.

During the Cylon assualt an unknown Cylon ship although damaged crash lands into the fighter bay. The episode ends with the unknown discovery that it has cylon robots on board!

Excellent stuff, what I really liked was the Adama and Tye sub plot. Also the way that they punished Tye with a tough command and although he comes across as a joke he can actually command much to his displeasure, Im sure he would like to fail and be carted off to the brig!!

So, much happened in that I didn't catch it all, so thanks for the recap. I just like the way that the story keeps getting bigger. No reset buutons, every action has a consequence that rebounds later and reverberates.

I'm not sure about the Cylon/Human baby though. Baltar is supposed to be the most intelligent human in the 12 colonies!

Forgot to say what happened on Cobal!

The stranded crew leave the crash site and head for the trees as they hear the Cylons aproaching. Baltar is woken from his dream with No6!

Lt (Crash) is struggling with the command and the chief is having to prompt and question his orders/actions which is presenting a lot of tension etc.

Once in the tree line they have to stop to give medication to one of the injured but inthe rush to get away they left a med kit. Lt (Crash) then orders 1 man back to recover it and the chief + cally go with him. They recover the med kit but are ambushed on the way back and the unknown man gets shot up by the cylons and the Chief and Cally have to escape alone.

Certainly starts at the level last season left off.

A really bad day to take command of the fleet for Colonel Tigh, almost felt sorry for him!
But it got me wondering what the real back story between him and Adama is?
