2.05: The Farm

Spoiler
**************************************************

So we have another cylon. Imothep/Katono from Stargate steps in the role of the evil cylon doctor.

As "Trouble" indicated in the post for the previous episode, The Cylons are trying to reproduce using human females. Evidentlly there's something "special" missing from the Cylon physiology that prevents them from reproducing pseudo-naturally.

Any thoughts on the reintroduction Heelo's Boomer?

Yes, big spoilers this week over previous episodes as the Cylon Plan is finally revealed. The importance of Caprica becomes clear.

I don't think I could ever trust Boomer, but she was useful to them and still has more useful information. She is actually still working to the Cylon Plan that was imprinted in her, and I'd hate to think what else might be programmed in, only to switch on at some later date like a computer virus.

What about Kara's second scar? Who thinks she already has junior Cylon on the way?

What is her back-story with all the injuries? Damaged knee, now every finger broken at exactly the same point?

There is this whole thing about Kara having some major role to play in the future. I am wondering if they have either inplanted a junior cylon in her, or just taken some eggs to experiment with any create a new model cylon cloned from her. Altho you don't actually need to collect eggs or implant externally so no need for the scar, other than to draw our attention to it.

have to admit it gives them a few roads to go down from this point with Kara

and I'm guessing its an abused childhood - the broken fingers in the same place is classic fingers shut in the door, but of course that could have been accidental.

I missed that until you said it. Previously, I thought it referred to her being the one who got the 'Arrow of Apollo', but she already has that, so there must be more to it.

I'm not sure how they are going to unfold this whole religious thing that Kara is just one part of. This week, Adama said that he thought no-one would follow Roslin, but he seems out of touch with the general population because last week all the Senators, the guards and even half of his crew believed Roslin is the one in the prophesy. In the original series, Glen A Larson, who is a Mormon, was promoting his own Christian views, but in this series the religious theme is more complex, especially with the Cylons themselves having their own religious agenda.

The religion thing is certainly in the forefront with the Cylons, what was it Boomer said, god says be fruitful and multipy (or words to that effect) so the cylons are truly trying to following the words of god - and believe they have a right to, and should do so.

Its all a little weird machines having those kind of feelings, but I guess if they have the right hardwire to expand then ...who knows.

What is it the Doctor in Voyager always said in defence of his human feelings - I have photons and forcefields, you have flesh and blood - makes no difference!

Well the cylons keep saying "we are the children of humanity". Maybe they don't consider themselves "machines" like we do. And I guess you could argue we're all a type of machine.
