I thought id post this here because people hardly ever post in the S3 forum

ok, so in secrets (S2) the harcesis was given to kasuf and he was told that the boy needed to be taken away and hidden somewhere, amonet has no idea

in Serpents Song Daniel says to apophis he knows where the boy is, which in a way he does because kasuf knows so it shouldnt be a problem for him to find out

in Forever In A Day (S3) there seems to be a huge continuity problem in that Daniel now doesnt know where the boy is at all. Kasuf doesn't seem to know either, and Amonet does? How does that work? Amonet should have no idea where he is because it was Kasuf who took him away. Apparently she knew he was on kheb, how? Anyone care to explain?

Not the first time that the writers have left a plot hole and I don't think it is the viewer's responsibility to fill in where the writers have gone blank.

But at the risk of doing what I say shouldn't have to be done, I'd 'guess' that Amonet suspected that Heru'er did not have the child because he never bragged about it -- something every Goa'uld would do. She returned to Kasuf as the most likely source of info and found her baby. And like a good mommy she sent the baby into hiding on Kheb with her most trusted aide.

Amonet may have been influenced by her host, who then used the ribbon device to pass the info on to Daniel, the one other person who could be trusted with the baby's safety. Of course, Amonet never figured on Oma Desala getting involved.

BTW, I hope in the new season of SG1 that we see Shifu again. He seems to be a valuable ally out floating around the galaxy and with no Tollan, few Tok'ra, no Jacob/Selmak, the team could use some friends.
