Season 10

ok first off, i dont want to know anything about Season 9 because ive not seen it yet, but does anyone know if there will be a S10? or whether or not its likely to happen?

No idea. I would guess there are quite a few unknown factors right now: (1) how the fans deal with RDA being very slightly in the eppys (spending time with his young daughter); (2) how the fans like Ben Browder and Claudia Black as new cast members and in their interaction with the regulars; (3) whether enough of the Farscape fan base begins to watch SG-1 on a regular basis and results in Sciffy finding it worth their while ($) to go forward with a season 10; (4) just how thin can TPTB of all of the SG projects spread themselves before they have to call it quits on one of the projects or bring in someone new to assist; (5) whether there will be a second Stargate movie to be filmed anytime in the near future; (6)Amanda Tapping has just had her first child, and may decide like RDA that she wants more time at home with the baby; (7) Chris Judge also has a young child . . .

Just thoughts on my part. :rolly2:

hmm I thought they pretty much finished filming S9 now though? how can they still not know whether or not theres a 10? or is S9 still being filmed?

I read somewhere that Scifi is going to make an announcement within the next few weeks, but who knows!

Heres hoping...i also hope they sign claudia black on full time!

actually, the approval for S9 was a little late coming (at that time).

i heard that season 10 would be the last i mean having the ori who are the ancients in everything but name would bring a sort of closure to the ancient storyline and the end of the show

Indeed, this is what I have heard as well. Still speculation until SciFi and/or another official Stargate affiliate makes the "Official Announcement"... blah blah blah

From hearing Chris and Michael at the last con this year, the show will be renewed for season 10 - their last and final season for Stargate SG-1

I hope they stick with it. They have been saying they was done for a few season though havnt they?
